These 58" long crossbars form the backbone of your roof setup. Made from galvanized steel, they’re built to handle up to 165 lbs while staying solid under load. The round shape gives a reliable base for carriers that clamp around the bars, whether you’re hauling kayaks, cargo boxes, or camping gear. It’s a setup that feels stable mile after mile.
When you spend a lot of time outdoors, your gear takes on sun, rain, and road grime. The black vinyl coating on these steel bars helps guard against corrosion and keeps them looking good through it all. You get the durability of steel with a layer of protection that stands up to weather and wear.
If your roof doesn’t have factory rails, these BaseLine towers make it simple to mount securely without drilling or damage. The system includes four towers, four adapters, and a fit kit built for a custom installation on a naked roof. Once in place, the bars sit firm and ready for all kinds of gear attachments.
You can add Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores to help deter theft of the rack when you’re parked at camp or trailhead. It’s a smart upgrade that fits neatly into the towers and keeps your setup protected without adding extra bulk.
From short hauls to long road trips, the steel construction stands up to heavy use. Combined with Yakima’s limited lifetime warranty, this system is built for years of loading up and heading out—no second-guessing if your rack can handle another season of adventure.

Replacement product has served me well. I still have these roundbars in storage but plan on selling them soon. Use the measure twice cut once mantra when you get the bars tightened down after evening them out after measuring because the towers will dig into the black coating. Be careful with the end caps as well. They are a little tough to push in but apply some sort of lubricant to help it go in otherwise you risk cracking the end caps.
