That's an older Yakima roof rack than we have replacement towers for. It looks like your buddy ruined the lock assemblies and there wouldn't be a way to replace the lock setup. What vehicle do you have? I can look into what the correct Yakima round bar rack is and see if there's a way to reuse at least the bars.
