Question:
How long do the roof rack cross bars need to be on a 2024 Corolla Cross in order to use a Thule Hullavator Pro without hitting the body of the car. The car has a narrow roof compared to the body of the car.

Hi Jennifer!
You want 4" to 8" of crossbar after the tower in order for a Thule Hullavator # TH898 to not make contact with the vehicle when in the lowered position. Since you mentioned the roof on your 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross being narrow compared to the body, I would recommend going as wide as you can, just to be sure. With that said, I have 70" crossbar options listed below. You didn't mention if your Corolla Cross had flush mounted rails running from the front to the back or if you had a naked roof, so I included both options.
With Flush Mounted Rails:
Yakima CoreBar Crossbars - Steel - Black - 70" Long - Qty 2 # Y00423
SkyLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Fixed Mounting Points, Flush Rails, and Track Systems - Qty 4 # Y53TR
Landing Pad 37 for Yakima SkyLine and Control Towers - Qty 4 # Y32QD
Naked Roof:
Yakima CoreBar Crossbars - Steel - Black - 70" Long - Qty 2 # Y00423
BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Qty 4 # Y28TR
BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers - Qty 2 # Y06153
BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers - Qty 2 # Y06154
Have you heard of the MOS UpLift Kayak Roof Rack and Lift Assist w/ Tie-Downs # MR89ZV? I prefer its assisted lifting and lowering mechanism over the Hullavator, but it is a bit more expensive.
