Can Yakima Roof Rack From 2000 Ford F250 Be Used On A 2025 Ford F350?

Question:
We just purchased a 2025 Ford F350 Super Duty Crew Cab Platinum naked roof. Our old truck was 2000 F250 Super Duty Crew Cab. We use the Yakima rack on the truck with the Hullivator kayak system. My question is, will those old Yakima towers work on the 2025 truck? Our Yakima system and Hullivator was purchased around 2010 or so. Thank you.

Hello Lori, thanks for reaching out. You may be able to re use certain components from your old Yakima roof rack, but I would need to know specifically what parts you have in order to say for sure.
If you have the Yakima BaseLine towers like part # Y28TR, those could be used on the 2025 F350, you would just need a new fit kit # Y06185.
You might be able to re use you crossbars but again it depends what you have. Yakima recommends a 58" or 60" crossbar for the 2025 F350.
If you can tell me what towers you have, and what style and length of crossbars you have, I am happy to get back to you and tell you exactly what you need to be able to add a roof rack and use your Hullavator.

I believe we have part #1030761 with a bar length of 66"-68". Do you believe this would work? Our existing pads are getting very worn. Not sure if we can replace pads or not. If we were to purchase new towers, which would work with the round cross bars. Another option, maybe buy the Thule towers & bars. Our Hullivator once we remove the retro fit for the Yakima, is for the old square bars. Is there work around for this? Thanks Jesse for all your help. ~ Lori
