Question:

I have a 2019 GMC Acadia with a naked roof. Can I carry 2 kayaks with the Base Line Tower System? It does state that they are not to be carried side-by-side.

The note about not carrying something side-by-side actually just refers to surf/sail/paddleboards and doesn't apply to kayaks. If you don't already have a kayak carrier I really like the Yakima JayLow # Y04073 which comes with tie-downs for 1 boat. This carrier can accommodate a 2nd boat with another set of straps # Y05006 and tie-downs # Y04031 but you might find it easier to eventually purchase a second JayLow so you have a carrier towards either edge of your crossbars.
