Will the Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers Work with the Kwik-Rail Mounting Brackets # Y08002?

Hi, I have a 2000 VW Eurovan that has kwik rail brackets installed. Would the Yakima 1a towers fit these brackets? Are there other options? Thanks!

From the looks of your photo, you have the Side Loader Mounting Brackets for Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers # Y08002. I confirmed with my tech at Yakima that the Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers (QTY 4) # Y00101 fit these Kwik-Rail mounts. For theft-deterrence, I recommend the Yakima Same-Key Lock Cores # Y07204.
If you need Yakima RoundBars to go with the towers and the brackets, I recommend one of the following crossbar sets:
- Round 48" CrossBars for Yakima Roof Rack System # Y00408
- Round 58" CrossBars for Yakima Roof Rack System # Y00409
- Round 78" CrossBars for Yakima Roof Rack System # Y00411
The length of the crossbars you need depend on the width of your roof. If you end up going with the 78" crossbars, I strongly recommend that these crossbars do not extend past your side mirrors on your Eurovan. Not only is this dangerous, it may also be illegal.

I just wanted to point out that in the picture, the KWIK-RAIL is mounted upside-down. The "shelf" section of the bracket should be on the bottom. which allows the base of the 1A tower to be captured within the pocket of the shelf.
