Trailer Hitch Installation - 2003 Chevrolet Silverado - Curt

Today on our 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500, we'll be installing the Curt Front Mounted Hitch, part number 31108. Here's what our hitch will look like once installed. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the front edge of our bumper is 6 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 12 inches. We'll now go ahead with the installation. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the manufacturer's tow hooks. To do that, there are 3 fasteners for each, one on each side of the tow hook, and the rear fastener here at the bottom. As we remove the tow hook fasteners, we'll go ahead and set them aside as they will not be reinstalled, but we will reuse the manufacturer's tow hook.
