Really fast shipping and product as described.

Good part. Appears to work well.

by:

Should do the job. One of the two had some surface rust on it in the bearing area. Nothing real bad just needs some scotchbrite

by:

I purchased these hubs, spindles, wheels and tires for a machine that I'm building. Initially, I tried to source them locally, but nobody had all six items that I needed. So I turned to etrailer again, and was very well pleased. All the items are of very high quality and work together without any modification. And the price, including the (free) shipping from etrailer was less than any local vendor, and they were delivered in less than a week. etrailer comes through once again! Thank you, etrailer!

by:

Great fit and shipped fast.

by:

Labeled 1 3/8” but it was actually 1.5”. Had to lathe it down myself.

by:

Build went great. Built custom axle. Drilled 4 bung holes, cleaned up the spindles, used dial indicator to make it true and mig welded it up. Welded new perches on axle tube, painted it, mounted and Done. Gone Fishing.

by:

Cut and welded this in to replace one side on my harbor freight trailer where the smoked bearing was seized to the spindle. Working great for about a year.

by:

Very good, bearings fit well. I wish the stub end was fully machined.

by:

Its incredibly frustrating that etrailer will not provide dimensional information as to how far the brake plate needs to be from the tip of the axle or the bearing flange. Without this information it is very difficult to use these parts - we had to do it by trial and error and wasted a lot of time and money. The part is fine - lack of information is inexcusable.

by:

Smooth buying experience! Awesome service, tracking and delivered much faster than I thought to Canada. Looks like someone knows how to manage a business.

by:

just what I needed

great item and
great service

As described and great price. Took a little longer than I expected to get it but once it actually go to USPS it was fairly quick.

  • What Size Axle Does a #84 Spindle Fit
A true 1 inch spindle is a BT8 spindle, like # TRU94FR. The next closest one would be the BTR spindle which is commonly referred to as a 1-1/16 inch spindle, like # TRU44FR and is more common than the BT8. Both of these are typically used with 2,000 lb axles. A #84 spindle, like # TRU24FR or # TRU47FR is bigger and is used for 3,500 lb axles. Common sizes for these are 2-3/8 inch round axle, 3 inch round axle, and 2 inch square axle. I have linked a helpful page that shows the different...

  • How to Determine Hub Face to Hub Face Dimension for Picking out Replacement Trailer Axle
If you are looking to order a new axle for your 5 foot wide trailer you will need to determine what the hub face to hub face dimension you would need to clear your trailer that is 5 feet (60 inches) wide. You will also need to know the width of your wheels/tires. You will take the figure and divide by half as trailer wheels have a zero offset which means exactly 50 percent of the tire width will be on either side of the hub face. You will want to have a couple inches of clearance between...

  • Can I Change a 5 on 4-1/2 Drum With A 5 on 5 Drum For A Trailer With 3,500 lb Axles
As long as the drums have the same weight capacity as the axles that you are putting them on then there should be no problems there. If you don't already have the 5 on 5 drums that you are asking about, I recommend using the E-Z Lube Hub and Drum Assembly # 84556UC3-EZ. It has the E-Z lube cap on the end of the drum so if you have E-Z-lube axles it makes greasing your axles easier. It also works great with axles that do not have the E-Z lube option. Since you are taking the 5 on 4-1/2...

The TruRyde Spindle # TRU94FR and our Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-545-2-2K are not compatible, but you could use the TruRyde EZ Lube Spindle # TRU44FR instead as it has the correct spindle measurements. • Is a Damaged Spindle Safe to Use If Hub Fits It
It might seem that the spindle being slightly bent isn't a big deal but it can definitely lead to another blowout so you'll want to replace that spindle with a new one. It looks like you have a straight spindle like the standard BT8 found as part # TRU94FR for a circular end or part # TRU97FR for a square end. A damaged spindle will cause more friction which, in turn, increases the amount of heat produced which can lead to your bearings failing or a tire blowout. So any time a spindle...

As far as removing your current spindle, you will need to grind/drill off the old one. One the old spindle is removed, I recommend the BT8 Spindle for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles # TRU59FR (for a 1-3/8 diameter) or the # TRU94FR (for 1-1/4 diameter). The measurement of the diameter is the stub (innermost tube on the spindle). In order to get the correct size, I recommend measuring the stub of your old spindle once it is removed. We can certainly point you in the right direction. Unfortunately we do not have literature that will give us spindle/bearing sizes based off a year, make and model of trailer. So it may be difficult to recommend a direct replacement without a bit more information. That said, looking at these 1994 FLOE Pro-100 plus snowmobile trailers, it appears to have a light duty single axle setup. My guess would be something like a 3,500 lb axle, or smaller. If you have an older trailer with the short spindles then unfortunately we don't have any hubs that will fit. I've gone out to our warehouse and measured a handful of hubs in the past but none of them have a shorter length/height. The only option to use current hubs is to either cut off your spindle and replace it with something like part # TRU94FR so that the CE Smith Trailer Hub Assembly # CE13110 can be used, or purchase new axles entirely.

  • Solution for Replacement Parts for Boat Trailer With Hub Rubbing Trailer Axle
It looks like the hub is rubbing up against the trailer axle on your boat trailer. If I had to guess, I would say since that spindle is attached to the axle with U-bolts it probably shifted over time to a point where the hub is too close to the axle. Moving the spindle out slightly so the hub is no longer contacting that axle will likely take care of the issue unless other parts are damaged. Once you remove the wheel and hub I would inspect the hub, spindle, and axle to see what damage...

Anytime that a spindle is starting to take damage you will want to replace it as that will affect the performance of your bearings and seal. In this case since that chipping is right where the seal sits (as you mentioned) that will eat at the rubber seal which will likely cause it to fail. A failed seal will leak grease and cause further damage to your spindle/hub area. From the picture you sent in it looks like you have a round BT8 spindle.
