Flange lets you attach a brake assembly.I've bought parts from etrailer before and never had any issues, but this time I was really disappointed. I ordered a replacement à xle spindle and when I received it the box was in good shape . It was packed well , but the part itself looked like it had been laying on the shelf with other parts rolling around and nothing separating them & this one had took the blunt of all of it. I build trailers and do custom work on trailers for customers .It's good we can see our parts are being ready to be shipped, but we need to know somebody is actually taking the time to actually look at the part to make sure we are not receiving parts like what I received.when you buy a new part & have to spend time cleaning the threads & rethreading .
Would give this part a higher rating. However I had to address the machine work on the spindle, for the inner bearing to fit. The biggest issue is the fact they don't come with spindle nuts,due to the fact they require a special castle nut/locking device.
Excellent, well built drop spindle. We have abused this spindle by overloading our trailer and it has held up well for one year.

I went to [trailer parts store] Because they built the axel I had. They threw me and my son's out for no reason. I connected their main office no help. People, etrailer is the place to go. They have the parts and a good staff, they are fast.
This part fit correctly. All measurements provided were correct. I would purchase this item again if needed.
Very nice axles with a great idea on greasing inner and outer bearings without disassembly. Fast shipping too. A+++ rating.
Would of gave spindles 5 stars except the bearing surfaces were beat up from shipping, there should be a protective sleeve on those spindles,and maybe some newspaper or something in box to keep them protected, I had to emery sand the bearing surfaces
