E-Z Lube and Easy Grease-Compatible Hub for Simple Lubrication

The grease cap on this hub is specially designed to work with your Dexter E-Z Lube or etrailer Easy Grease axle to make lubricating bearings quick and easy. Just remove the plug on the grease cap, attach a grease gun to the zerk fitting on the end of the spindle, and inject the grease. It will flow easily to both inner and outer bearings. Not only does this make lubricating the bearings easy, but it also helps to prevent corrosion of the hub. This is because you can lubricate the bearings without the mess of taking apart the entire assembly.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

It was just what I ordered, Came in real quick, Will order more from them!

Excellent hub but it does not fit old Harbor Freight 1,195 Lb Folding Trailer Item #62648 axel. Spindle is too short for this hub. Need new axel and hubs for the older trailer. New trailer Item #62666.

The two new trailer idler hubs fit perfectly with the trailer spindles. The whole process of removing the old ones and installing the new ones was relatively easy without any difficulties at all. It also appears that the quality and the engineering designs of the new hubs are much better than my old ones. These are great products with good prices. A couple of pictures are attached for more info. Thank you...

Great product, arrived quickly. Originally ordered galvanized however I was quickly told they would not ship for a few weeks and these were an option. Thanks to the great sales personnel.

The hub assembly is well made and fit as advertised. In stock and readily available. We have purchased from in the past, and no complaints.

Good products, made my project easy.

I emailed issue with a picture , and next reply was "the replacement is on the way" That is how you do business ! Thank you very MUCH

The axle hubs are great. I really liked that the bearing races where already install in the hubs. The produced was just as shown in the pictures, you didn't have to guess on what was included. All I had to do is pack the bearings with grease, clean the axle shaft a little, install the hub kit with a little more grease, reuse my old washer ( spacer ). Install the old nut and carter pin, install the cap, put on the tires with the new lug nuts ,that came with the kit. It did not take but about 45 minutes to the side. I was in no big rush!

The hub kits and bearings are still doing great. Thanks again

I contacted etrailer with a question regarding a very old small boat trailer. My customer service rep, Jane S, was able to determine my trailer need a diffrent complete Hub/bearings kit than I had intended to order! She determined the one I mentioned to her was slightly larger, and would do damage to the spindles over time! I ordered, then recieved an additonal email from Jane S advising she was able to get the order shipped to me within two days! etrailer is my go to source from this date forward!

After finding etrailer online, I ordered the parts I thought I needed (Hub and bearing kits). They arrived within days, they fit perfectly and they are still going strong on a well-used trailer. I would go to them first if I need anything else. Very satisfied.

Terry G.

Still frequently using the trailer with your wheels and hubs. No problems at all. Thank you.

These hub assemblies were easy and fast to install. My trailer rides smoothly again.

I just recently purchased a hub kit from etrailer it come with the hub bearings and the race and the cap it took less than ten minutes to install I would recommend this product to everyone the cost is half what the neighborhood hardware store I plan on using this company in future

Wonderful installation was quick and easy

All was good

The part worked perfectly and was completely full of grease, and had both the solid and rubber cap grease caps. The reason for only four stars was the packaging. The solid grease cup was slightly damage in shipment, but I was able to straighten and use it.

Best price and fast shipping! is my first choice for anything I can get for my trailers. The hubs I got are of great quality and fit perfectly.

Keith S.

Perfect! Hubs held up all through waterfowl and fishing season. Tried to too-off withe grease and they are still full.

Still working flawlessly

The replacement hubs and bearings arrived before I thought they would. Just packed the bearings with grease. Greased the spindle and hub races; assembled and put on my trailer. Good to go. Don't like the hub cap that came with kit. Prefer solid caps that came on the trailer originally.

Very happy with etrailer!
Easy to shop
on there site, prices were great, service was fast and the order
Was correct.
I found hubs and spindles for a project that are going to make it a lot easier than anticipated.
I'm making towable sign carts for a farmers market.
Thank you etrailer

I needed to replace a hub on my trailer. This pre-packed unit was very easy to install! Shipping got it to me quickly and finding the proper part was very easy on

With loaded off road use this hub has held up great and still runs true. When time for replacement comes i will order this same part from

Service and price was great, ordering was easy enough too!

The products were received in a timely manner, I was glad to get them as quickly as I did. The products, trailer tires, rims and fender was all of good quality and look forward of them lasting a long time. Thank you very much.

Customer service was excellent. Everything I ordered came in 3days. I will buy from etrailer again.

Kenneth R.

All the parts are a year old and everything is fine. Great company to work with

Absolutely fantastic! Works great, had all the parts I needed to replace the hubs and bearings on my trailer.

Everything went as expected

This is THE way to go. So much easier and cleaner than trying to clean, replace, repack bearings and races from scratch. I will never do it any other way!

Part showed up within 4 days of ordering into Canada. I had to drill and install a grease fitting as the replacement unit did not have a re-greasing feature required for the power rake.

  • 1991 Starcraft Starflyer Replacement 4-Lug Pattern Idler Hub Recommendation
I can get you most of the way there, but ultimately you'll have to pull the hubs on your 1991 Starcraft Starflyer to determine the correct hub. Pop up trailers typically have 2,000 lb axles. Since you have a 2K axle and a 4 lug bolt pattern this narrows down your choices to 2 different hubs, so just compare the bearing number to what I list below and choose the option that matches: - L44649 Bearings # AKIHUB-440-2-EZ-2K - L44643 Bearings # AKIHUB-440-2-EZ-1K
