The grease cap on this hub is specially designed to work with your Dexter E-Z Lube or etrailer Easy Grease axle to make lubricating bearings quick and easy. Just remove the plug on the grease cap, attach a grease gun to the zerk fitting on the end of the spindle, and inject the grease. It will flow easily to both inner and outer bearings. Not only does this make lubricating the bearings easy, but it also helps to prevent corrosion of the hub. This is because you can lubricate the bearings without the mess of taking apart the entire assembly.
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Easy to install, and presumed meant no extra greasing during install. Both hubs on motorcycle tow-behind trailer replaced in less than am hour and on the road. Thanks!
They are working great may get another set for my other boat or utility trailer. Cheaper that pulling them and replacing brearings and seals or even just greasing them.

The two new trailer idler hubs fit perfectly with the trailer spindles. The whole process of removing the old ones and installing the new ones was relatively easy without any difficulties at all. It also appears that the quality and the engineering designs of the new hubs are much better than my old ones. These are great products with good prices. The axle hubs are great. I really liked that the bearing races where already install in the hubs. The produced was just as shown in the pictures, you didn't have to guess on what was included. All I had to do is pack the bearings with grease, clean the axle shaft a little, install the hub kit with a little more grease, reuse my old washer ( spacer ). Install the old nut and carter pin, install the cap, put on the tires with the new lug nuts ,that came with the kit. It did not take but about 45 minutes to the side. I was in no big rush!

I contacted etrailer with a question regarding a very old small boat trailer. My customer service rep, Jane S, was able to determine my trailer need a diffrent complete Hub/bearings kit than I had intended to order! She determined the one I mentioned to her was slightly larger, and would do damage to the spindles over time! I just recently purchased a hub kit from etrailer it come with the hub bearings and the race and the cap it took less than ten minutes to install I would recommend this product to everyone the cost is half what the neighborhood hardware store I plan on using this company in future

Still working flawlessly
Excellent hub but it does not fit old Harbor Freight 1,195 Lb Folding Trailer Item #62648 axel. Spindle is too short for this hub. Need new axel and hubs for the older trailer. New trailer Item #62666.
Good product
The replacement hubs and bearings arrived before I thought they would. Just packed the bearings with grease. Greased the spindle and hub races; assembled and put on my trailer. Good to go. Don't like the hub cap that came with kit. Prefer solid caps that came on the trailer originally.
The hub assembly is well made and fit as advertised. In stock and readily available. We have purchased from etrailer.com in the past, and no complaints.

Great product, arrived quickly. Originally ordered galvanized however I was quickly told they would not ship for a few weeks and these were an option. Thanks to the great sales personnel.
The part worked perfectly and was completely full of grease, and had both the solid and rubber cap grease caps. The reason for only four stars was the packaging. The solid grease cup was slightly damage in shipment, but I was able to straighten and use it.
Wheel, hub, and axle products ordered for a utility trailer. Standard free shipping was two days to my door. Everything packed together in one sturdy box for easy handling. Nice!
