Have a 4 bolt 4inch hub on a 1inch spindle but only 3inch of spindle length from seal shoulder to 1/2inch threaded necked down shoulder for castle nut please help. Need 4 hubs. Older trailer. Rob D

Hello Rob, thanks for reaching out. We do offer some 4 on 4 hubs that will fit a 1" spindle, but we do not have anything for a short spindle like you described. A lot of older trailers used shorter spindles, and this design is not obsolete.
The only solution for this will be to replace the spindles with the BT8 Spindle for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles # TRU94FR. This is a 1" straight spindle and it is the standard length. You can use that with the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-440-2-G-1K which is the 4 on 4 bolt pattern. Keep in mind that the new spindles will need to be welded on and this is best done by a professional.

Hey Rob, how did things go with the new BT8 spindles and 4 on 4 hubs for your older trailer? Your update could make it easier for others working with short spindles to find a good solution.
