Trailer Hub Grease Seal

Looks like they are perfect for my trailer. Fast shipping and really great how they let you know every step and the seals arrived early and will be installed tomorrow!

Every thing fit perfect and was exactly what I needed. They work great also!!

If it weren’t for shipping taking an extended time, I woulda rated etrailer 5 stars. I know etrailer has no control over how poorly USPS performs but ultimately they continue to utilize their services for shipment. Initially my purchase was set to arrive on the 26th but I didn’t receive until the 3rd due to delivery delays. With that said, etrailer is phenomenal when it comes to everything trailer, super easy to find exact parts and they are always in stock. BUT they need to change carriers because USPS is terrible.

Ordered 4 GS-2250DL which were supposed to be 2.250ID x 3.376OD but I got 4 seals that were 1" ID x1 1\2 OD number on seal was GS 1250DL not the ones I ordered.Called customer service they were helpful but I was not able to do the job I wanted to do. let you know my full opinion when I get the replacement order.

by:

Great product and great service.Went on real easy.Got alot of help making sure I had correct parts for my axles. Will definitely shop there again.

by:

I ordered my seals, I paid $50 to have them overnighted, when I get them they are the wrong ones when you pay that kind of money it seems like somebody could get it right, nothing new in America today

Whoah! I am sorry that the wrong seals were sent. We will that corrected right away!

by:

These seals match the original seals perfectly. I really appreciate the phone and online assistance the folks at eTrailer provide. They make maintaining my trailer all that much easier.

by:

Perfect fit. I just replaced my brakes and repacked the bearings. Double lip seals are the only ones to use. I always carry a few spares and an extra set of bearings.

by:

I am surprised that I got this email a year after the purchase. Originally there was a shipping problem and I didn't get them before our planned departure date with our camper. I had to go to a local auto parts store for seals but unfortunately all they sell is the single lip type. I did eventually get the seals from Etrailor and I saved them. I just finished repacking the bearings yesterday, May 29th and used the new seals. I will be ordering another set soon for my next year servicing.

So far they have worked as advertised with no grease leakage. Double lip seals are always the best way to go.

by:

Working great after a year of use. Installed easily.

This was my third order from etrailer and I've never been disappointed. Shipping has either been free or very economical, along with arriving quickly. The website is easy to navigate and they have a huge inventory. I highly recommend etrailer

by:

I bought a used 2002 camper with 2 dexter d-52 axles and I wanted to grease the bearings. I took it apart and the pads feel off the shoes so found this website and upgraded my system to the 23-428 & 23-429 never adjust brake assembly plus 2 new seals. Less than an hour an axle and you are done. I recondmend these guys for any parts I need in the future...

by:

Good price and perfect fit

by:

by:

correct part; installed properly; was a vailable

by:

etrailer is my go to place for trailer and RV related parts. They have what I need at a fair price, ship quickly, and the parts are always right. The installation videos are a great help if you are not sure what you are doing. These seals I ordered are spares just in case I have a bearing failure.

Sid

12/19/2022

As mentioned above these these were spares, but I did order another set with bearings and that set as been working flawlessly for a year and we have put over 6,000 miles on the RV in that time.

by:

The seals were spot on, exactly what I needed perfect fit. Great deal. Better then any Local automotive store or RV center .

by:

As advertised.

by:

I ordered these based off measurements of my old seals since I couldn’t find any numbers and markings. They fit perfect on my 6 lug C&B flatbed trailer! Thank you etrailer!

by:

Rated average, because when I installed the seals, 2 of them the spring that puts pressure on the rubber seal popped off, luckily I caught and was able to put it back in place, never seen that happen to a seal before

by:

Only had to replace one. Will be checking all again this summer when I re-pack my bearings.

by:

Good quality name brand, good price, good delivery

  • Replacement Bearings and Grease Seal For 7,000 lb Dexter Axle
I was able to verify for you the correct replacement bearings for your Dexter 7,000 lb axle, and you were off to a good start with the seal. The only other things you will need are the bearings and races; and also keep in mind that the grease seals are sold as a pair. Since you mentioned your 5th wheel was 41 feet long, I assume you have a tandem axle trailer, so you would need to order one of the following kits for each hub: - Bearing Kit, 14125A/ 25580 Bearings, 10-36 Seal # BK3-200 This...

  • Grease Seal For A 5736575 6,000lb Dexter Axle
The correct grease seal for your Dexter axle is # GS-2250DL. If you find your bearings are also in need of replacement then you would want to use part # 15123 and # 25580. If you discover any other kind of damage to the hubs or brake assemblies I'd be happy to find replacements for those as well.

  • Correct Replacement Bearings and Seals for Dexter 7,000 Lb Axle
The correct bearing and seal kit for your Dexter 7,000 lb axles is going to be either the Bearing Kit part # BK3-210 which has a 2.125" seal or the Bearing Kit part # BK3-200 which has a 2.250" seal. Unfortunately, this axle could have come with either seal so you will need to pull the hubs and read the seal part number or measure the spindle/seal to choose the correct replacement. The other option is to just get one bearing kit and order the other seal; 2.250" part # GS-2250DL or 2.125"...

  • Bearing Kit for Trailer Hub that Has Seal 10-54 and Bearings 25580 and LM67048
The 10-54 Dexter seal is the same as the # GS-2250DL which has an inner diameter of 2.25 inch. Now if you were looking for a bearing kit that matches the bearings you have of 25580 and LM67048 the part # BK3-300 comes with everything.

  • Replacement Brake Assemblies For Converting a 5,200lb Dexter Axle To Electric Brakes
Yes, the 5,200lb Dexter axle you currently have will use the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-105-106 as you are converting to electric brakes. The only brake assemblies available for 5,200lb axles are all hydraulic. I recommend upgrading to the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-458-459 as this will increase the life of your brakes and save you from having to adjust your brakes every 3,000 miles. If your drums/hubs are grooved from the old brakes you can replace...

  • Replacement Hubs With Bearing Numbers 25580 and LM67048
The bearing LM67028 is likely # LM67048, which has an inner diameter of 1.250", though you'll want to measure using a digital caliper to make sure they are the same. We do have idler hubs that use # LM67048 as the outer bearing and # 25580 as the inner bearing. Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # 8-213-5UC1 uses those bearings along with grease seal # GS-2125DL which has a 2.125" inner diameter. This assembly has a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern and is for 5,200 lb to 6,000 lb axles. The other...

You can install electric brakes on a boat trailer but it is not recommended to use the electric brakes when they get submerged in the water. The Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-D has a Dacromet coating for superior corrosion resistance due to being submerged in water. If this is the route you choose you will need to ensure your hub is okay to use with electric brakes. Or we have the Galvanized Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-655-6-G-EZ-K. There are 2 ways to confirm the correct grease seal for your 2021 Grand Design Reflection 295RL 5th wheel. First would be off of the axle tag. This tag will have a serial number which I can use to reach out to Dexter and verify all the parts used on the axle from the factory. The other way would be to remove one of your hubs. Then you will be able to either see the size stamped onto the grease seal or measure the spindle with a Digital Caliper # PTW2993 to verify the correct size. This...

The difference between the Grease Seal 10-36 # 10-36 and the 10-10 Grease or Oil Double-Lip Seals # RG06-090 is going to be the inner diameter. The # 10-36 seal has an inner diameter of 2.250" while the # RG06-090 has a 2.125" inner diameter. Both of these seals will work with your 7K axle and they both share the same outer diameter of 3.376". • How To Find Correct Grease Seal Size For Tandem Dexter Trailer Axles
There are a couple ways to determine the correct seals to be used on your Dexter axles. Without removing your hubs you can check the axle for a tag which includes the serial number for your axle. With this information I can contact Dexter to get the information needed about your axle. If you do not have this tag with the serial number on your axle you will need to pull one of your hubs. On the outside of the seal you may be able to see the information on the seal stamped into the seal itself....

  • How to Pick Out Grease Seal for Trailer
To pick out a replacement grease seal you will need to measure the diameter of the spindle where the grease seal rides with a digital or dial caliper and then need to measure the hub bore where the current seal rides. With those two dimensions we can pick out the correct seal that you would need. I attached a link to a page that has all of the grease seals we carry. You will need to select your inner and outer diameter from the filters on the page and the correct seals will be listed.

  • Trailer Hub/Drum that Will Fit Grease Seal Surface that is 2-1/4 inches
Sounds like you are referring to the inner diameter of the grease seal and that you are looking for one that has a seal that has a 2-1/4 inch diameter. The part # 8-201-5UC3-EZ that you referenced can fit either a 2-1/8 or 2-1/4 inch seal surface yet it comes with a seal for a 2-1/8. So you would then need to also get the seals part # GS-2250DL and use them instead since they are for 2-1/4 inch. As long as your inner bearing of the hub you are replacing is a 25580 and the outer is LM67048...
