I repair trailers, these seals work good every time

Wrong seal

Oh, I am sorry that this seal is not a fit for you. It has an inner diameter of 2.875 inches and an outer diameter of 3.880 inches. It works with Dexter 9 and 10K axles. I recommend measuring both the inner and outer diameter of your original seal to find the one that will work for you. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you.

by:

Good source for trailer parts and prompt shipping

by:

Perfect fit. Thank you for the crossover information on an older part. Great experience

by:

This isnt the right seal

by:

Being on the trailer repair business I replace a lot of axle seals - and a n alarming amount of failed ones. It doesn't pay to go cheap. These hub oil seals by Redline seem to be good quality and hold up well.

by:

Great product and fast service. I will be back I have other trailers and I have told several or maybe even many people about you. Thank you so much These were mostly bearings and seals for a heavy trailer so I don't have any pictures. Take my word for it though with them

by:

Jamie B was out of her way helpful to get the right parts. She was very pleasant to work with.

by:

Work as it should.

by:

My old seals were discontinued, but they had the matching tables to the new ones which turned out to be a perfect match to the old. Did not have this luck at two other sites. Highly recommend this company as you get what you need the first time and you get it quick!

by:

It was the correct part, good fit, good quality. So far so good.

  • How To Determine The Right Replacement Grease Seal
If you have the bearing numbers and the axle capacity, we may be able to find the right seal for your trailer. If not, you will need to take an accurate measurement of the outside diameter of your existing seal, or the inside diameter of the mounting surface for the seal in the hub. You will also need to get an accurate measurement of the spindle at the seal surface. I have attached a photo that shows the areas you will need to measure. You will need a precision instrument like a dial...

  • Measuring for Correct Replacement Oil Seal for Oil Bath Type Trailer Hub on 2005 Ranger Trailer
We do carry a range of seals for oil bath type hubs like the ones from your 2005 Ranger trailer. I do not have access to all seal specs for Ranger trailers so you'll just want to take precise measurements of the current seal inner and outer diameters. Then you can use the linked page that displays all oil seals and select the matching dimensions. For example, a unitized seal like # 10-51 has an inner diameter of 2.875-inches and an outer diameter of 3.880-inches. This seal does have multiple...

  • RTV Sealant Recommendation for Oil Seal for Dexter Axles
The Unitized Oil Seal # 10-51 would require that you apply RTV like part # LT37464 to the outer diameter of the seal before you install it per Dexter's seal installation instructions. This seal is designed as a replacement for Dexter 9K and 10K axles.

  • Recommended Replacement Oil Seal For A 2015 Big Tex 22GN Trailer
From what I could find out, the Big Tex 22GN tandem axle trailers use 10,000 pound axles. However, this is the brand new ones so I highly recommend double checking this with Big Tex if you are unsure. They will need the VIN for your trailer, so have that near by. If they confirm this information or if you are already sure you have 10,000 pound axles, it does narrow the search down to 2 options. First is the # 10-51. This will have an inner diameter of 2.875" and an outer diameter of 3.880"....

  • Determining Correct Oil Bath Seal For Dexter D100G 10000lb Axle
Thank you for the picture! I reached out to my contact at Dexter and your axle is indeed a 10000lb axle, but with the axles age they were unable to confirm the oil seal or bearings used. With that said your axle being a general duty 10000lb axle should use the Oil seal # 10-51, but could use # 10-56. To determine the correct seal you will want to use digital calipers like # PTW80157 to precisely measure the spindle where the seal rides as shown in the included diagram, and the diameter...

The Replacement Magnet Kit for your Dexter 12-1/4 inch brake assemblies is part # BP01-301. The kit includes the magnet, the spring, and the clip. For a Dexter 9K system manufactured after October 1989, the unitized seal you need is part # 10-51. If your axle was made before October 1989 the seal you need is part # 10-63. For your Dexter 9,000 pound axle, you will need the Inner Bearing # 387A and Race # 382A, along with the Outer Bearing # 25580 and Race # 25520. The correct oil seal should be part # 10-51, which features a 2.875 inch inner diameter and 3.880 inch outer diameter. I spoke with my contact at Dexter Axle who said that your axle is rated for 9,000 lbs and uses the inner bearing # 387A, outer bearing # 25580, and seal # 10-51. This seal has an inner diameter of 2.875" and an outer diameter of 3.880". I can give you a few different options but to know the exact bearings, races, and seals you need for an oil bath on your 10K Dexter Axle you will need to take some measurements on your spindle using a digital caliper like or by finding the part numbers on these pieces. We have the bearing part # 387A which is over 2 inches in inner diameter and is seen on 10,000 lb axles but I'd have to know exactly what your spindle dimensions are to know for sure what you'd need. If you can use a digital caliper like the # PTW80157 to get me the exact dimension of the spindle where the bearings and seal ride I'll be able to let you know which parts you need.
