Round trailer axle beam measures 86-1/2" from hub face to hub face (when hubs - sold separately - are mounted) and 71-1/2" from spring center to spring center. Easy Grease spindles make it easy to lubricate bearings (sold separately).

Specs:
There are multiple ways to measure the length of an axle beam, but the hub-face-to-hub-face and spring-center-to-spring-center lengths are the most accurate. Hub face (A) refers to the length of the axle measured from the base of one wheel stud to the base of the wheel stud on the opposite side of the axle (when hubs are mounted on the beam).
The spring center (B) is the approximate width of your trailer. It is measured from the center of the spring seat on one side of the axle to the center of the seat on the other. This axle beam comes with the spring seats welded on.
If you are replacing your trailer's axle, you should be able to figure out which type you need by determining your trailer's capacity, the bolt pattern of your wheels, the brake type and the aforementioned lengths.
etrailer axles are made of high-strength steel and come with spindles and spring seats welded on. The spring seats are attached to the underside of the axle so that the leaf springs (sold separately) can mount beneath the axle. The result of this underslung design is a trailer that rides a bit lower for quick and easy loading and unloading.
Each axle is manufactured to create a certain camber angle. This ensures that the angle of the wheels is correct for your towing needs. Because the primary concern when towing is maintaining controlled, in-line movement, each axle is made so that your trailer's tires will run along the pavement evenly, with contact across the width of the tread. The result is excellent straight-line acceleration for steady, in-line tracking. You might notice the bend near the center of the axle; this is what ensures the proper camber angle. Having the center ride a bit higher and the sides of the axle bent lower allows the axle to give just enough to compensate for the load.

Hi there! I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this trailer axle with the easy grease spindles. This is going to be a great option for those of you who are needing to replace an axle on your trailer, or if you're wanting to build your own trailer, and you're wanting to have more of a customized suspension system. This will work for that, as well. Of course, there are lots of different size axles out there, different weight capacities, different links, so you want to make sure that you're getting the right one for you. This is a three inch diameter round steel axle beam.
It's going to have a weight capacity of 6,000 pounds for your single axle applications, or if you have a double axle application, it will double that weight capacity up to 12,000 pounds. So make sure that that's going to work for your trailer. The next thing you're going to need to know is going to be the length. So there are two very important measurements for your link, two different ways of measuring. The first is going to be from your spring seats, these are welded onto your axle, so it's going to be a nice static frame of reference for us to measure from, from the center of one spring seat, to the center of the other, it's going to be right at 71 and a half inches.
The second way of measuring is going to be from your hub face. So obviously this does not come with the brakes and hubs, but if you we're to have those installed there from the outside flat edge of one hub to the other, it's going to be right at 86 and a half inches. So again, make sure that that's going to work for your trailer. You can see this dubs does have a slight bend right here in the center of the axle. That's going to be our camber.
And so our trailer is underload, it's going to ensure that our wheels and tires are making a full tread to road contact across the full width of the tire, so you're going to get plenty of control in your straight line pulling, and it's also going to help prevent any uneven wear of your tires. So our spindles are welded in place using a patented welding process. That's going to allow the spindle to slide over the axle rather than just budding up against it, so it's going to provide about a 40% stronger weld. So it's going to be a great for helping to prevent spindle failure. It's also going to ensure proper alignment of our spindle with our axle, so everything is going to be lined up properly, you can see this is welded in place in a straight orientation, so there's no drop to it whatsoever.
So it is going to be great for lots of different applications our built in grease zerk, there, is going to make it super easy for us to keep this our system lubricated just took up your grease gun, pump some grease in there, and it's going to come out this hole up here, helping to fill up that cavity, keep everything, keeping everything well lubricated. We do have our built-in brake flange, here. That's got your standard five bolt pattern, so its going to be very easy to attach your brakes. This does also have wire running from one side of the axle to the other, double wire. So it's going to be super easy to hook up your electric brakes, when you add those on. And obviously this does not come with brakes or hubs, but we do have lots of options available for those here at etrailer.com, so if you are looking for those, be sure to check out the options that we have available for you. Our spring seats are welded to the bottom of our axle, so that's going to allow us to mount our leaf springs in the underslung orientation, which is going to give us a lower ride height, and make it much easier to load and unload our trailer. This does meet the CSA, QAI, and SAE-N certified standards, so you can trust, it's gonna hold up well, meets those quality standards. It's going to do a good job for you, and do what you need it to do. And it also comes with a limited lifetime warranty, so if you we're to have any problems with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. We're always happy to work with our customers to make sure you're getting good quality products, and having a good experience. So as long as the weight capacity and length work for you, I think you'll be very happy with this. If you do need a larger weight capacity, or less weight capacity, or a different length, we do have lots of other options for axles, here at etrailer.com, as well. So make sure you're getting the right one for you. That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

Received exactly when expected. I realize they where odd shaped items but I think they could’ve been packaged a little better than plastic wrap. The rubber boot over the spindle was a great touch but the flange bolts were unprotected. Other than packaging I was very pleased with my order and they bolted right up.

Number one quality parts. Had to replace the axle due to lack of lubrication of the wheel bearings. Love the concept and ease of keeping the wheel bearings supplied with fresh grease on the e-z lube axles.
