The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
Recessed-mount trailer lights install underneath the included grommet (A70GB). These lights will extend into the mounting surface and require that a hole be cut into your trailer.

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at the Optronics Oval Trailer Back-Up Light. This is a clear oblong light that functions as a back-up light for your trailer. It features a sonically sealed waterproof lens and housing. It contains one incandescent heavy duty long life bulb and that bulb sits in a shockproof socket, which guarantees long bulb life. The light housing is an all weather molded plastic housing, which protects the unit from corrosion. It does come with a mounting grommet for a flush mount design and it also comes with your two wire plug.
You white wire is your ground wire. Red wire is your power wire. Now, the trailer light itself, just the actual light measures 6-1/2 inches long by 2-1/4 inches talk, about 2-3/8 inches deep.With the grommet, the overall length is 7-5/8 inches and then the overall width edge to edge or the overall height, depending on how you have it installed is 3-3/8 inches. The hole that's needed for your installation should measure 6-11/16 inches long by 2-5/8 inches wide or tall. We're going to go hook up to power, that way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it.
Then, we'll also turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a lower light setting. Now again, this is a unit that contains one incandescent bulb. Clear lens allows plenty of light to come through. Has a really nice design to it. Nice consistent light output.
