Designed specifically for refrigerated or high-heat environments, it safely operates from -40°F to 140°F. With an effective output of 990 lumens (1,400 raw lumens), the white LEDs deliver strong, even light that stays consistent at all voltages between 7V and 30V DC.
Forget about replacing bulbs or dealing with broken filaments. The eight built-in LEDs last up to 50 times longer than incandescent lights while drawing less power—just 1.61 amps at 12.8V or 0.80 amps at 24V. That means bright, dependable lighting that saves energy and stands up to constant use without wearing out.
Built for hard use, this low-profile rectangular light measures 18-1/4" long by 5-3/4" wide by 1-5/64" deep and uses a durable polycarbonate housing with a clear lens. The sealed construction helps protect the internal components from dust and moisture damage, making it ideal for rough environments or frequent washdowns.
Installation is straightforward with the two-wire hookup—one power lead and one ground wire, both with 16" of length and made from 16-gauge wire. It surface mounts securely (hardware not included), giving you a clean fit that blends in with your workspace or trailer interior while providing strong, reliable light exactly where you need it.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the OptiBrite Motion Activated LED Dome Light from Optronics. This light is designed for use in extreme temperatures. It's ideal for refrigerated trucks or trailers. Works well in conditions from negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit to positive 140 degrees Fahrenheit. It's a full LED system. LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer.
They burn brighter, and they're much more efficient, and you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments. This is going to feature an operating voltage of seven to 30 volts DC. Voltage cut off at seven volts DC prevents battery drain. You can use this with 12 volt DC and 24 volt DC systems. The light output of the unit remains consistent at all operating voltages, so no dimming.
The light cuts off when the voltage is outside of the safe range, which is a nice design of the unit. On the backside, the unit's going to include your 16" long wires. These are 16 gauge power and ground wires with tinned ends. Directly at the center of the light is the motion sensor, so it is motion sensor activated. It's going to feature a polycarbonate lens and housing that's very strong and durable. When it comes to the power draw at 12.8 volts, we're looking at 1.61 amps.
At 24 volts, that's 0.80 amps. It's going to contain a total of eight diodes or eight LEDs. We're going to take a look at some of the overall dimensions real quick, and then we'll hook it up to power and show you how bright it is. Measuring edge to edge, it's going to give us an overall length measurement of 18 1/4" long. Going this direction, edge to edge, that's going to give us measurement of 5 3/4". It's a super thin light.
You can see that it does have a recessed area, and then it has that mounting flange that goes around. The depth is going to be about 1 5/64" deep. The lens area, so if I take a measurement of just the lens, going this direction, that lens is going to measure about 16 1/2". Going this direction, the lens measures about 4". Those measurements are the same as the measurements of the recessed area, 16 1/2" x 4". The mount holes on the unit, you can see that there's going to be two on bottom, two on top, two on each side of the unit. From this hole to this hole, center on center, those are going to be separated by 17 1/8". From this hole to this hole on center is going to be separated by 4 3/4. These two holes right here, going that direction, those are separated on center by 2 3/16". These holes on center are separated by 5 11/16" on center. You will notice that all of the holes are elongated, so I do want to point out that the holes like this one measure 1 3/8" long. The holes, here, on the sides are going to measure 1/2" long. Optronics also puts a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. Let's go ahead and hook it up to power. That way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. Our black wire is our power wire, and then our white wire is our ground wire. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights, so you can see it in a low-light setting. You can see it sends out a nice consistent signal. Again, it's going to contain a total of eight LEDs, so the multi-diode design really helps optimize the light output. That's going to do for today's look at the Optronics OptiBrite Motion Activated LED Dome Light.

I love these lights. They are very bright, use very little energy and turn themselves off when not in use. They were very easy to install and have held up very well in cold and damp conditions. I would recommend these to anyone trying to add light to their work areas, especially good for delivery vehicles.

It has been a year and these lights are fantastic, they are still bright, still click on every time I walk under them and have given me no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend them. Easy to install too.

Hey I gotta tell ya this light is awesome, I've had it in service for about a year, in really harsh weather, from -10 to nearly 100 degrees, it's been flawless.
I love the motion switch it simply "Works." It could be little brighter,, However over all I love it.
this was a great product, and an easy swap out. We have had it nearly a year now with no problems.

I love these lights! They are very bright and do a great job of lighting up my 18 foot cold box. I used 2 lights to get good coverage. The motion sensor option is great, never have to worry about leaving your lights on again. Excellent product, and excellent service. I highly recommend these lights and etrailer!
I cant say enough good things about these excellent lighting fixtures! I have (2) of these fictures install in my 20' Box - they are low profile, sensor operated and absolutely make it a pleasure and also very safe to work in this space. These appear to be exactly what I've been looking for. I will be mounting them inside a cargo box on a delivery truck. If they work as I expect, it will solve the problem of working in the dark.
