Water and corrosion are a constant battle for boat and utility trailers. This Kodiak hub uses durable galvanized steel with a zinc coating that resists rust, making it a solid choice for marine use. It stands up well to freshwater exposure and even limited saltwater contact. The finish helps extend the life of your hub so you can tow with confidence season after season.
A dependable connection is key when you’re hauling heavy loads. This hub fits 3,500-lb axles with #84 spindles and supports up to 1,750 lbs per hub. It uses the L68149 inner bearing (1.378" ID) and L44649 outer bearing (1.063" ID) so you can easily match it to standard spindle setups. The included L68111 and L44610 races are pre-installed to save time during assembly.
Whether you’re running a straight idler axle or adding brakes, this hub gives you options. It’s built as a standard idler hub but can also be paired with a 10" slip-on rotor for disc brake applications. The 1/2"x2" wheel studs have enough length to handle an over-the-hub rotor or custom wheels with thicker mounting faces, so you can set up your trailer exactly how you want it.
Finding wheels that fit is simple thanks to the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern—one of the most common setups out there. Each stud is threaded 1/2"-20 UNF-2A for consistent torque and secure fastening. With compatibility across 13", 14", 14-1/2", and 15" wheels, this hub covers a wide range of trailer types without guesswork.
From weekend hauling to long-term trailer projects, this hub’s straightforward design keeps things reliable. It includes pre-installed races and long, sturdy studs that stay tight under load. With its six-year warranty backing it up, this Kodiak hub gives you a dependable replacement or upgrade that keeps rolling mile after mile.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

The hubs have performed wonderfully. Loaded up the trailer with a Farmall Cub and haul it several hundred miles with no problems
