More and more people are switching their trailers over to disc brakes, and with good reason. Disc brakes deliver consistent braking - even at highway speeds - unlike drum brakes, which often show a substantial drop in braking torque at higher speeds. In addition, disc brakes offer a substantially shorter stopping distance than drum brakes. Disc brake calipers have only one moving part, rather than the many found in drum brakes. This means that there are fewer parts to maintain, fewer parts to get damaged and fewer parts to have to repair or replace, thus reducing maintenance costs.
The integral hub-and-rotor is made from cast iron, matching SAE specifications. Cast iron is ideal for high-temperature operations and offers a favorable friction coefficient to ensure adequate stopping power. Kodiak's rotors are vented to effectively dissipate heat, dramatically reducing the incidence of heat-related damage. Furthermore, machined disc brakes minimize the chance of contamination between the hub and rotor, resulting in excellent performance and long life.
Kodiak calipers are constructed of cast iron to prevent flexing. Less flex means more braking torque, resulting in smooth, even braking every time. The corrosion-resistant stainless steel piston is 30 percent larger than standard pistons, ensuring shorter stopping distance and increased torque. In addition, the unique low-drag design of Kodiak's calipers allows the piston to retract farther than in most standard models, giving you a cooler-running brake.
Designed for axles with 4-bolt brake flange configurations, the included mounting brackets are made of heavy-duty ductile iron that is embossed to provide additional threading for guide bolts. The added thread strength ensures a tighter, more secure connection between the caliper and bracket. Another unique feature of Kodiak's brackets is the side-support angle, which guarantees that the load is carried by the bracket, rather than the bolts.

I am reviewing the hub, not the service. The hub fit as it should spun in a circle as it should and the trailer lasted one trip before the axle gfave up. So the hub met expectations for about 200 miles then was turned into a battleship or something.
I thought the shipping was fast, the new part was the same weight/quality as the original, and the new part fit perfectly. Pictures are of the old and new part.
Product wasn't packaged very well for shipping. A couple of the lug studs had rolled threads from be banged around. Not sure how I'm gonna fix them at this point since their already on the trailer.

I must a recieved one hub/rotor that was slightly manufactured incorrectly. The rear seal would fail no matter what I did. I contacted etrailer for a replacement part and they shipped it out right away. The boating season is winding down and we love the water so it was great. Only complaint I have is I have to pay shipping to return the part that was faulty. I don't think that is right.
High quality brake parts
Product is excellent but damaged during shipping due to improper packing.
Four of these heavy rotors loosely placed in a box destroyed the boxes as in photo. Damage did not prevent us from using the product but someone else may have asked for a replacement.
I haven’t used the trailer enough for long enough to give 5 stars. So far, so good.
Great weight to these rotors and I like that the bearing races are already pressed in, it was a quick swap and definitely a quality item. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I'm not terribly impressed with the e-coating. I saw some light rust in the vents less than a week after installed the rotors before I even finished putting the calipers and pads on (aka - I hadn't even used them yet) Probably fine for most applications, but I have a boat trailer that goes in salt water a few times a year and I wish I went with the stainless rotors. I'm sure these will last a while because they are heavy, they just won't look too pretty.
Just a note here perhaps they shouldn’t provide bearings with these hubs. The races are included on the hubs.
Everything was correct and very fast de livery!
I purchased new bearings, hubs, brake rotor hubs, brake pads, grease caps with rubber inserts, wheels with tires mounted, center caps and lug nuts. All of it was shipped and received in 4 days with free shipping. I have made many large purchases from etrailer and referred them to many people. They have always been great to work with. The quality is very good and don't have one bad thing to say against them. They are my go to store for my utility trailer, enclosed trailer, camper, boat, and truck. Thanks etrailer!!
Great part, good price, shipping fast, but the packing had a lot to be desired Hubs in the box. Packed in a larger box, By the time they got to me shipped UPS they were out of there boxes inside the bigger box. tho no damage to the parts lucky.

I ordered a (difficult to find) trailer wheel hub & a pair of Bearing Buddies to match. I paid only for standard shipping but they arrived promptly in 2 days.

This disc brake system from Kodiak sure makes conversion from drums trouble free. Also a great way to add brakes to an axle without brakes.
The product was just was expected from a known manufacturer..but the customer service was above 5 Stars...somehow the package was lost by the shipping company ...I called Pat C when the package did not arrive...within in minutes she had me in touch with the shipping company ...I guess the company could not find the package because within a few days Etrailer informed me they were shipping another set of rotors...no charge for anything.To be honest the rotors could have been bought anywhere so the reason I've used etrailer for the last couple of years is the value of the products and the exceptional customer service ...one of the few companies that still believe in "the customer comes first "
Product arrived on time and package very well outside box. The rotor boxes are both torn and no harm done. Will definitely buy it again in the future. Thank you.

Still good and work as intended!
After installation, I towed my 6000 lb. boat 1500 miles with no problems, and the brakes worked great!
They fit great and i have had no proble ms

High-quality disc hub, nice to have the races pre-installed.
Hub was busting out of its box by the time it got to me, luckily did not damage anything else inside the larger shipping box. Heavy items like this need to be packed properly, not just chucked into a larger box.
Sales staff were very helpful and parts delivered on time!
Part did not last very long . Giving it a 3 , benefit of the doubt for installation issue.
