Use this corrosion-resistant actuator to synchronize your trailer brakes with your tow-vehicle brakes. Over-center latch mechanism only engages when the actuator is fully seated on 2" hitch ball. Designed for hydraulic disc brake applications.

When you apply the brakes in your tow vehicle, deceleration occurs and momentum pushes your trailer toward the rear of your vehicle. With surge brake systems, the actuator is triggered as your trailer moves forward while the tow vehicle slows. The actuator telescopes, applying force to its master cylinder, which in turn supplies the necessary hydraulic pressure to engage the trailer's brakes.

Poor packed and arrived bent. Had to straighten metal in order to fit.
The product came unboxed, missing instructions and no spare break away clips. I purchased a new actuator and got one that was laying around.
The manual lockout device, supplied with the actuator, requires a second person to hold it in place when backing. It will not stay in place on its own.
This product doesn’t fit over 3” tongue. Its the exact same size as a 3” tongue.Unusable. Had to remove the internal portion and modify my trailer tongue to fit. Arrived as the worst packaged item I’ve ever received. It was barely still in the box. Whom ever packaged this didn’t have a clue what they were doing.
I'm very pleased with the product, installation was a breeze.
Very sturdy material and well made. Works as designed and the electrical lock out for disc brakes is very useful.
Manual lock out lever key could be magnetized to avoid falling off.
Ordered brake actuator from Etrailer after several attempts from EZTrailee with no response. Wished I had checked out Etrailer sooner. Received notification at each billing, shipping.

The reverse lockout was further away than my original, just a little, so my brake line was too short.
Auto parts places didn't have a flex that fit the thread. I was doing this on a Sunday so I had to drive across town to a trailer guy who was open for a flex line.
I would give it 4.7 stars if I could would of gave a 5 star had they included a short flex line with the kit.
It's about a 2 hour job with everything you need I spent an extra 2+hours getting a part.
All in all been using for a year and I am completely satisfied.
Product was exact fit for the 4 star review would have been five except the tongue cover was busted from shipping. Otherwise great.
