Question:
I have a 2006 Tracker 222, and the trailer has a Tie Down Engineering LP7000 brake actuator. It is a dual axle trailer with disc brakes on one axle. It appears the master cylinder has failed as there were s of fluid below the hitch, and the reservoir is empty. Are there replacement parts available for the master cylinder? Secondly, I was considering replacing the entire actuator assembly with a compatible Dexter you may offer, which would afford automatic backup lockout. Which option would you recommend? Im 68, and planning on keeping this boat and sailing it off into the sunset. So hopefully, the boat and trailer will be around for awhile. I have attached pictures for your reference. Thanks

Hey Dan, thanks for the pictures and the information! Unfortunately, I do not have any replacement parts for a TDE Model LP7000 actuator so my recommendation is going to be to replace yours entirely with the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator w Electric Lockout item # DX89FR.
The Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator item # DX89FR is designed for disc brakes, has a 7,500 lbs capacity, and fits a 2" ball. It comes with an electric lockout so you can backup without having to get out.
The Dexter item # DX89FR coupler is designed to mount on top of a standard 3" wide trailer tongue.
How wide is your trailer's tongue?

I didn’t bolt this on my trailer. I took mine apart and use the actuator inside the tongue of my trailer. It has worked great for me. I did have to put new brake line front to back as mine was a 2007 and without fluid in them the rust took broke loose. With a call to etrailer and the correct part number off your actuator you could find a replacement that will slide right back inside your trailer tongue.
