This setup gives you the space to bring along the gear that doesn’t fit inside. The Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack includes 2 JetStream crossbars, 4 BaseLine towers, and a custom fit kit. With the full system installed on your naked roof, you can haul everything from kayaks and paddleboards to cargo boxes and camping gear—securely and confidently wherever you go.
Wind noise can ruin a road trip, but these aluminum JetStream crossbars are built with aerodynamics in mind. Their shape helps cut through the air smoothly, while the rubber strips in the top channels help reduce wind noise and vibration. The result is steadier airflow and a quieter ride, even when you’re loaded up for a long highway drive.
Some roof racks require you to trim rubber channel inserts before installing your mounts. This one doesn’t. The push-down rubber strips simply press down as you load your carriers or accessories into the top channels, then spring back to fill gaps. That means cleaner installs and less hassle when swapping between cargo boxes, kayak cradles, or bike carriers.
Strength matters when you’re hauling expensive gear on the roof. The aluminum construction provides durability without adding unnecessary weight. Each crossbar measures 50" long x 2-3/4" wide x 1-1/8" tall and supports up to 165 lbs—within your vehicle’s maximum roof load capacity. It’s built for stability trip after trip, with a black finish that looks sharp and resists wear.
You can add Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores (sold separately) to secure the rack when parked overnight or at the trailhead. It’s an easy way to keep your setup protected so you can focus on your adventure instead of your gear.

Tghe racks have remained on since I installed them correctly, no thanks to your video. I read the manual it came with.
