Roof Rack to Fit a 2018 Toyota Tacoma with Fixed Mounting Points

Question:

I am looking for a Yakima roof rack with feet and cross bars to mount on the cab of a 2018 Toyota Tacoma double cab. I do not have any factory rails. The roof does have roof channels with the rubber piece in it for mounting feet. Therefore, I do not want door mount clamps. I want feet that will mount to the roof channels. I would consider another brand, but I have had good luck with yakima on other vehicles. Thank you.

If you definitely want a Yakima roof rack then the clamp-style attachment is all that is available at this time. For their system I recommend CoreBar system using BaseLine towers # Y28TR, fit kits # Y06145 and # Y06128, and then either the 50 inch, part # Y00421, or 60 inch, part # Y00422, crossbars.

Since your 2018 Toyota Tacoma has the fixed mounting points there are Rhino-Rack systems that fit. I recommend the Vortex Aero bars, part # RRVA126B-2, with # RRRLT600 legs, and # RRQMFK08-2 ditch brackets.

Another option, that doesn't use the fixed mounting points or the clamps, is the SeaSucker Monkey Bars # 298-SX6000B. They use vacuum cups to connect to the roof and are easily removable.

Take a look at all the videos I've linked for you. Especially the SeaSucker on the VW bus. It's not the Monkey Bars but it shows just how strong the vacuum cups are.
