For your 2020 Chevy Traverse, if you don't have the factory installed raised side rails, then you absolutely can still add a roof rack but it will use a custom fit kit. My recommendation for a naked roof is:
Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00426
BaseLine Towers # Y28TR
BaseClip Fit Kit # Y06153
There is not a rail system to add to your roof, so this is the best option and is rated for 165 lbs.
