Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Dodge Ram Pickup - Draw-Tite

Today on our 2006 Dodge Ram pickup, we're going to review and install the Draw-Tite class III 2-inch receiver tube hitch part number 75420. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. This is a completely steel and fully welded construction of our hitch. It's got a really nice black powder-coated finish so that it'll resist rust and corrosion over time. One of the really nice features about the hitch is we have an electrical bracket that's been pre-welded to the cross tube so we can hook up any trailer or electrical connection. This is our square cross tube so it's got a real sturdy design.



Trailer Hitch Installation - 2001 Dodge Ram Pickup - Curt

Today on our 2001 Dodge Ram Pickup, we are going to review and install the Curt Class 4, Two Inch Tube Receiver Hitch, Part Number 14001. Here is what our hitch is going to look like once installed. As you can see, there is minimal showing of our cross tube but it is a sturdy square cross tube design with a fully welded construction. Then our Class 4, 2 inch receiver tube has chain hold-downs on each side and it's a 2 inch by 2 inch opening with a 5/8 pinhole pre-drilled all the way through the receiver tube. The hitch itself is capable of up to 1000 pounds of tongue weight and 10,000 pound tow capacity. Next, we will give you a couple measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for a new hitch such as ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most of the edge of the bumper is 3 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening down to the ground is 16 1/4 inches. We now go ahead and show you the minimum tools required for installing the hitch.



Trailer Hitch Installation - 2001 Dodge Ram Pickup - Curt

Today on our 2001 Dodge Ram pickup we're going to review and install the Curt Class 5 extra duty 2 inch receiver tube hitch, part #C15300. Here's what it looks like once it's installed. As you can see we've got our heavy duty, square, cross-tube design into a fully welded construction. The entire hitch has a nice black powder coated finish. Blends in nicely with the under body of the vehicle. On either side of the receiver tube is our chain hold down. All the way through the receiver tube is the pre-drilled 5/8 pinhole.



Trailer Hitch Installation -2001 Dodge Ram Pickup - Curt

Today in our 2001 Dodge Ram pickup, we're going to review and install the Curt Extra Duty Class Five two inch receiver tube hitch, part number C15318. Here's what it's going to look like once installed, as you can see we've got the big square cross tube design and a fully welded construction, it's got a black powder-coated finish so it blends with the under body of vehicle, then our chain hold downs on either side of the receiver tube. Pre-drilled is our five based pin hole goes all the way through our receiver tube and our two inch by two inch receiver tube for the class five hitch. The hitch itself is capable of up to twenty four hundred pounds of tongue weight and sixteen thousand pounds tow capacity. Next we'll give you a couple measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is four and a quarter inches, from the top of the receiver tube opening down to the ground is sixteen and a quarter inches. As you can see, we've got a nice, sturdy fully welded construction with a square crosstube. Another really nice feature about this hitch is that our crosstube is hidden mostly behind the rear bumper, so the only thing really exposed is our 2" by 2" receiver tube, our 5/8 pre-drilled pinholes going through the receiver tube, and our chain hold downs on either side of the receiver tube. This is capable up to 1,000 pounds of tongue weight and 10,000 pounds of towing capability. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, it's a fully welded construction with a nice sturdy square crosstube for holding that extra weight. The only thing really visual out the end of our bumper is our class five 2" by 2" receiver tube, our pre-drilled 5/8 pinhole, and our chain hold downs on either side of our receiver tube. Our hitch is capable up to 2,400 pounds of tongue weight and 16,000 pounds of tow capacity. Speaker: Today on our 2014 Dodge Ram Pick-Up 2500 Series we'll be installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Part No. C15809. Here's what our hitch looks like installed in our vehicle. We'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is approximately 3 1/2", from the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 21". Now let's go ahead an install our hitch. Let's go ahead and first begin by pointing out the attachment points that we'll be using to mount our hitch. There's a total of 6 attachment points, 3 on each side. For the two forward most locations, one on each side we'll be using the 3" long square hole spacer blocks with a 9/16 carriage bolts and a 9/16 flange nut. We'll go ahead and use the fish wire provided with the kit.

Today on our 2014 Dodge Ram pickup 2500 series, we'll being installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C15409. Now here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is approximately 3-1/2 inches. From the top of the opening of the receiver to the ground is approximately 20-1/4 inches. Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. Let's go ahead and first begin by pointing out the attachment points that we'll be using to mount our hitch. There's a total of six attachment points, three on each side. Now for the two forwardmost locations, one on each side, we'll be using a 3-inch long square hole spacer block, the 9/16 carriage bolt and the 9/16 flange nut.

Today on our 2007 Dodge Ram pick-up, we'll be installing the Hidden Hitch trailer hitch receiver, part number 82534. Here's what the hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements, to help you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pinhole, to the outer most edge of the bumper is approximately 2". Now the receiver does stick approximately a half inch out past the bumper, on this vehicle. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 18 1/2". Let's go ahead and install our hitch. It's a good idea to get an extra set of hands, to help you raise the hitch up into position.
