Noise can be noticeable at night, so use lower speeds if you're a light sleeper, and keep the screen clean to maintain venting efficiency.
Expect wiring differences; some older fans have 4 wires while many new units use 2. Certain wall controls use an RJ-11 cable and need the matching keypad and cable to work. The 12V positive supply connects at the fan; verify polarity and any required accessories for your control setup.
Look for a rain-proof cover so you can leave the vent open without letting water in. That helps prevent humidity buildup when parked or in storage. Some setups keep the interior dry even when left open, so you can keep air moving without babysitting the vent.
