Built-In Rain Shield

MaxxFan Deluxe Rain Shield

The MaxxFan Deluxe has a built-in rain shield that, along with the dome, surrounds and encloses the vent opening. The shield blocks rainwater and other precipitation from entering through the vent and damaging the interior of your RV or trailer. This means you can run the fan during any weather without having to worry about the consequences. With the rain shield, there is also no need to install a separate vent cover.

The smoke dome on the rain shield is constructed of durable high-density polypropylene. When it's closed, the dome provides a seamless, low-profile appearance.

Reversible, Variable-Speed Fan with Thermostat

MaxxFan Deluxe Fan Motor

The 12-volt, variable-speed fan has 2 modes of operation: manual and auto. When the fan is in manual mode, you can choose from 10 different speeds to increase or reduce the airflow as needed. Auto mode works in conjunction with the fan's thermostat.

To enter auto mode, press the auto mode button on the keypad. Once the fan is in auto mode, the thermostat is activated with a set temperature of 78 degrees F. Pressing the arrow keys on the keypad changes the set temperature in 1 degree increments. When the thermostat is set, it senses the room temperature and automatically turns the fan on if it is above the set temperature. The fan shuts off when the set temperature has been reached. If the room temperature rises, the fan turns on again. This keeps your RV cool and comfortable and saves you from having to adjust the fan by hand. The auto mode also saves energy by running the fan no more than necessary, especially while you're away or asleep.

This fan is reversible, which means you are able to both exhaust stale air out of your RV and bring fresh air in from the outside. To enter ceiling fan mode, close the vent while the fan is still running. The fan then circulates the air inside your RV like a ceiling fan.

The fan has a fuse-protected, ball bearing motor that is sealed to keep out dust, dirt, and moisture.

Flush-Mounted Keypad

Keypad for MaxxFan Deluxe

The flush-mounted keypad on the vent enables you to operate the vent and fan from afar, including turning the fan on or off. You can also control the fan speed, the direction of the airflow, and the set temperature for the thermostat.

Manual-Lift Dome with Twin Arms

MaxxFan Deluxe Open

The dome on this roof vent is constructed of durable high-density polyethylene, and it is translucent so that some natural light can shine through. When it's closed, the dome provides a seamless, low-profile appearance that blends into the roof of your RV.

Unlike a dome that has only 1 arm, this manual-lift dome is supported by 2 sturdy arms so that it will not flutter during high winds or while you are driving.

MaxxFan Plus Manual Knob

And a manual hand knob is built into the underside of the vent to allow you to open and close the dome. Pull the knob outward, turn it to where you want it, and push it in to lock the dome into place.

Removable Bug Screen

MaxxFan Deluxe Bug Screen

This vent has a bug screen that helps keep insects and debris out of your RV. It is secured to the vent with 4 built-in retainer clips. These clips make it easy to remove the screen for cleaning or maintenance. Just rotate the clips, and the screen will pop out.

Installation

The MaxxFan Deluxe vent fits standard 14" x 14" openings in the roof of an RV, camper, or enclosed trailer. A white interior trim piece (or garnish), insulated electrical connectors, and hardware are included for installation. The included mounting flange is lined with a rubber weather seal, which helps prevent leaks. Roof sealant (sold separately) is required for installation.

To install, first secure the mounting flange to the roof. Then connect the two wires on the vent to your RV's electrical system. The black wire is for power, and the white wire is for ground. Next insert the vent into the flange and fasten it down using the metal mounting points on the flange. To finish, trim the garnish as needed to fit the thickness of your roof and install it.

  • Recommended Replacement For Fan-Tastic Vent That Will Be Simple Installation
Hello Anthony. We definitely have a replacement vent option for you, but 2000 TS is not actually a model number or part number, so I do not have a way to look that up. Nonetheless, if you are looking for a replacement, I recommend the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-06200K. This vent is made to fit a 14"x14" vent opening which is standard. I like this MaxxFan mainly because it has an integrated rain shield which allows you to keep the vent open in any conditions. It also has a 12v reversable...

  • Installing MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan on 2016 Jayco 5th-Wheel Trailer
Most likely there is not a 12 volt power source already ran to the ceiling of your 2016 Jayco 317RLOK Fifth Wheel Trailer. You can check at the opening to see if there are any wires that might provide a 12 volt circuit. When installing the MaxxAir MaxxFan Trailer Roof Vent # MA00-06200K, you will just need to route a power wire to the ceiling in order to power the fan. This fan will require 12-volt DC and a minimum 5-amp service. The rough opening size that this will install in is 14-1/4...

  • Troubleshooting MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan That Won't Turn Off
Thank you for the question! Would you be able to expand on your situation a little more so I can better help you? Just wondering if it isn't turning off when you press the power button or does it have to do with the thermostat (provided that your MaxxAir fan has one)? Also, which MaxxAir fan do you have installed? If you can get me that info it will really help me to pin-point what needs to be looked at.

  • How Does the Rain Sensor Work On the MaxxFan Deluxe 6200

  • Can a Voltage Regulator be Installed with MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent to Help Protect It
Unless the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-06200K is installed on your vehicle I wouldn't worry about a voltage regulator because the voltage will drop enough that you won't see a spike over 13.6V. If you do have the roof vent installed on your vehicle then it isn't a bad idea to install a type of voltage regulator just to be on the safe side. We don't carry anything like that but I'm sure you can acquire one through your local hardware or home improvement store.

  • Recommended MaxxAir MaxxFan Deluxe For A 2023 Entegra Odyssey Bathroom
I've installed more vents than I can count all to separate switches already built into the trailer or motorhome and not once had a single issue with voltage spikes. I have however ran into situations where the vent and another appliance were both ran to the same switch and had too high of a draw when both were being used at the same time, causing the circuit to overload. Running the vent with less than 12 volts is the more likely case for circuit board issues. When MaxxAir vents are turned...

The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat # MA00-05100K, as well as all of their other models does have a start up surge when first activated. The product page for the # MA00-05100K just didn't have it listed like the # MA00-06200K model does. • Comparing MaxxFan 7500K And 6200K Models. Do I Need A Voltage Regulator?
You are right that the # MA00-06200K and the # MA00-07500K are very similar vent fans as far as most of the internal components. The main difference is that the 7500K uses a remote and has a powered lift. The 6200K is manual control and manual lift. Other than those features they are effectively the same. We get a large majority of good feedback on both models, and I would not expect any noise issues with a brand new fan. As far as the voltage regulator, we have found in most cases they...

  • Why is the Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner System Not Recommended for a Utility Trailer?
Hay Paul, thanks for reaching out! I believe the reason the Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner System # ADV82SR is listed as "not approved" for an enclosed utility trailer is just because those roofs typically aren't stronger like what we see with campers. If you add some framing into the top of your utility trailer so that the AC unit has enough support, I don't see why this couldn't be used in that manner. We actually installed the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-06200K on a...

  • Will An Advent Air RV Air Conditioner Work On The Roof Of A 2013 Ford Van
Hi Tom, The Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner # ADV79FR requires 110v service, which would require you to run a generator in order to power it. This would likely require you to reinforce the roof to accommodate the weight and you'd have to build the ceiling up to 2-1/2" - 5" thick for the air distribution box # ACDB. This really wouldn't be a viable option, but there are air conditioners designed for vehicle use you could look into. The only thing we could really offer would...

The air conditioners we carry, like the Advent Air # ACM150 you were looking at, all require 30 amp AC service in order to operate. The powered lift can be turned off to allow you to manually lift the lid, this is thermostatically controlled, and due to the lid design it could be open and vent while raining.
