Rain Shield

Rain Shield

The built-in rain shield surrounds the vent opening so that you can use it in rain or shine. The shield blocks rainwater and other debris from entering through the vent and damaging the interior of your RV or camper. It also eliminates the need to install a separate vent cover.

Fan Guard

Fan Guard

The fan guard protects your fan from water and debris when mounted on the side of your RV. The guard slides over your vent with the solid end facing up to block rainwater and allow run-off, while the slotted end faces down to allow ventilation. The fan guard also gives you peace of mind with small children around, as it provides the ultimate protection against accidental contact with fan blades.

Push-Button Handle

Push-Button Handle

The push-button handle lets you open and close the lid of your vent with ease - no hand-cranking needed. Simply push the button and push up to open the lid, or pull down to close the lid. Releasing the button automatically locks the lid in place. When the lid is closed, it provides a seamless, low-profile appearance.

Etrailer helped direct me to the MaxxFan 7500 I believe letting me know that I can probably use the wires to a near by light to power it and they went extra and sent me to videos and also a way to still use the light to with a special switch. I realized that the bathroom fan wasn't working too and an older dome fan so ordered this right away as it's replacement. It arrived in manufactures box and all parts appear to be with it. I also have the sealant materials so it's ready to be installed as soon as our weather up here in NW MT cooperates. Great extra mile answering my questions about installing an electric fan into a screen vent no power space but same size. So helpful to know it's possible.

These MaxxFans both the dome and the larger 10 speed has been helpful running a lot last summer to ventilate while making repairs to the 22 yr old RV wed just bought. Sadly previous owners not only neglected it but abused her too. Water damage that was ignored &amp didnt see until wed driven it home 550 miles. So we dug in and mold killers, wood hardeners, wood fillers, glues, adhesives and adhesive removers, windows out and reglazed and restored, etc. having these fans to help ventilate while the work was being done a BIG help. The fans were wired in just like we were told they could be. They both work. And having one that draws not only exhausts means the Dome Bathroom fan can exhaust as the 10speed fan draws air in too. We could leave them run over night to clear out smells too. A total win win. Ive heard several say they wouldnt need fans this fancy at all here in MT however they forget July &amp Aug. Mt even in the mountains can hit triple digits and even in the shade these fans can certainly help vent air that a Vent alone doesnt. We havent had time to inspect &amp clean the 22 yr old AC unit but for now these fans have been money well spent.

Love these. I purchased 2 for my 1982 Wanderlodge. East install and love the removable filter so we can clean it easily.

Installing this in the bathroom ceiling of our motorhome was pretty straightforward if cutting a hole in your roof doesn’t faze you. It works great to vent condensation out of our bathroom. It takes a bit of an effort to manually extend it to the open position and it would be impossible for a shorter person to open it. I’m 6’, so it’s not a problem for me.

The vent fan is still working great and does a good job of venting the humid air while taking a shower.

by:

Very well made fan. Stainless screws and unit is heavy duty plastic. My old fan rusted to pieces. Literally.

by:

I’m using this fan for some supplemental ventilation over my stove in my van — the van also has a 14” square maxxair in the middle like everyone does these days.

Installation was pretty easy- I bought a compass to mark the hole and cut with a jigsaw. The provided trim is fairly forgiving, so the accuracy of your cut isn’t crucial. My roof was a bit over 2.5” thick and after trimming the fan fits pretty comfortably at that depth. I imagine a thicker roof might leave the fan a bit awkwardly recessed, though this might not be an issue.

Operation is easy and pretty much as described. The mechanism that holds the fan open doesn’t feel incredibly sturdy, but also has been ample for the job. It just doesn’t feel super “solid” when it clicks into the open position. I do find myself wishing the fan direction was reversible at times. The fan also doesn’t displace nearly as much air as the 14” square maxxair, though given the difference in area I can’t fault it for this.

All-in-all it’s been good, if not maybe a bit flimsy feeling for the price.

by:

Product is well made of heavy plastics. Easy to install once you get over the fear of cutting into your vehicle. Did not hook up to power yet to see how fan operates. Looks good on roof of vehicle.

Fan was installed as per the directions. Working as described. Would purchase again. The fan only has one speed. Added a fan control switch and I can now adjust the fan speed.

by:

Great addition on my camper van. It is mounted on our side door and we use it when cooking inside.

I'll write a review once I get around to installing the fan. Why do you request feedback the same day I received my order?

Product works even better than I expected. My friends love how easy it is to use. It looks like it was installed at the factory and totally belongs in my installation. When another needs comes up I would buy another one.

I installed this as a bathroom fan through the sidewall of my T@B teardrop camper. Works great.

by:

Great instructions. Very nice product. Installed nicely and looks beautiful. You will need to buy the butyl tape to properly install and of course the self leveling roof sealant.

by:

Great fan with multiple speeds, including reverse. Easy to install, comes with everything you need (except butyl tape). Has made a really big difference in the temp. comfort in my RV. The only negative is the supplied electrical connectors-I put them on, tested the fan & then installed the trim ring- then no fan! Turn out the connectors had fallen off- replaced with standard wire nuts and reinstalled the trim ring....VOILA....coolness!

by:

I have two of these installed in our stepvan - they were one of the first things we installed during the build process, and thank goodness we did because they kept us cooler during the summer build. Easy to use, the multiple-fan settings are nice, and the exhaust feature can pull a lot of air. We don't have AC, so these fans make a huge difference in pulling out hot air and replacing with outside air. Great service from etrailer - I ordered the wrong fan the first time and they were great to work with in getting another shipped out to me.

Nothing but issues.
It has worked fully
for maybe 3 months in the last two years.
At multiple times an owner of these will experience the beeping and blinking green light issue.
You’ll be told “oh, moisture in the mother board” so, you replace the PC board and add electrical waterproofing (which voids your warranty).
That holds for a while then the beeping and blinking starts again “oh, its gotta be the current draw, the fans require a solid 12v”. Add a DC/DC stabilizer to each fan should settle the issue.
Nope, only another two month fix.
You can reset these fans easily by just disconnecting the power to them and that seems to get some time but the issue of your fan not going above low and the beeping and green light will inevitably return.
there seems to be a lot of people who experience this exact issue leading me to believe it’s a quality control issue at and is not being addressed.
I would not recommend these fans to anyone.

by:

It worked great until it didn’t. I used the fan approximately two dozen times over the course of a year. I usually ran the fan for an hour or less. Now the fan controls just beep. It will not turn on.

by:

These are awesome! They can be used whether it is raining or not, no middle of the night scramble to shut all the vents. Since install we rarely run the AC. We have 2 installed, with a 3rd vent being the brand "fantastic fan" (it was our 1st one installed). Wish we would have known about these before listening to the dealer and wasting our time and money on the 1st install--all would be the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent!

If you're looking for something with a powered vent lift, the MaxxAir Mini Deluxe Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Powered - 1 Speed - Black # MA00-03851 is a great option. The Northern Breeze trailer vent has been discontinued which means the replacement screen you are in need of is not available. While I know it is not exactly what you wanted to hear, the best option available is to replace your Northern Breeze vent. The good news is that these vents fit standard cut outs of roughly 14" x 14" and are economical of you go with the simple manual-crank vent like the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # V2092SP-28.
