When you’re running hydraulic brakes, you need a hub and drum that fits right and grips strong. This Dexter hub-and-drum assembly is made for 2,000-lb axles with BTR spindles and works with 7" hydraulic brake assemblies. It provides the proper surface area for the brake shoes to bite, giving you dependable braking every time.
No need to hunt down individual parts. The kit comes with inner and outer bearings (L44649), matching races (L44610), grease seal (10-9), grease cap, wheel bolts, and lug nuts. With everything matched up and ready to go, it’s a simple bolt-on job that saves you setup time.
The iron build holds up well under load and resists wear from repeated braking cycles. It’s made to keep running smooth mile after mile, whether you’re replacing worn parts or upgrading an older trailer.
The hub’s 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and 1/2" wheel bolts make it a direct match for common trailer wheels from 10" to 12". With a 7"-diameter drum that’s 1-3/4" wide and a grease cap flange diameter of 1.986", each hub supports up to 1,000 lbs for balanced performance across both sides of the axle.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Works perfectly and made well! I have a 1997 Jayco 1207 popup camper and it was kind of a guess on which one to buy. I was torn between the Dexter 7 x 1 1/4 or the 7 x 1 3/4. I chose this one and it was perfect! My only complaint is that one of them arrived to me with multiple chips and starting to rust, but I figured it's just going to get scratched up anyways so I just put it on the trailer. The bearings, grease seal, lug nuts, and the actual hug seem to be just like OEM. Shipping was very quick as well!
