Long drives and open highways can make roof racks whistle and hum. The JetStream crossbars on this Yakima SightLine setup are designed with an aerodynamic shape that helps reduce wind noise and vibration. The rubber strips in the top channels press down around any mounted hardware, sealing gaps that can cause extra sound. The result is a quieter, smoother ride even when your roof is loaded up.
Installing accessories shouldn’t mean cutting rubber or fiddling with extra parts. These crossbars use push-down rubber strips in the top channels that let you slide or press in your carriers without trimming anything to size. The strips close back around your mounts, helping keep out wind and weather while keeping your setup simple and clean.
Whether it’s a kayak run, a ski weekend, or a long road trip with a cargo box, this rack gives you space to bring it all. The aero-style crossbars are compatible with most universal cargo, water, snow, and bike carriers that attach either in the top channels or clamp around the bars. You can switch between setups easily depending on the season or your next adventure.
When you load up tents, boards, or heavy gear, you want bars that won’t flex or rattle. The 50" long aluminum crossbars have a weight capacity of 165 lbs (always follow your vehicle’s maximum roof load). Their sturdy build gives you confidence for long hauls while keeping things lightweight and rust-resistant for everyday use.
If you like to leave your rack installed between trips, the SightLine towers are built ready for Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores, sold separately. Adding those locks helps deter theft of the rack so you can park overnight or at trailheads with peace of mind.

Tghe racks have remained on since I installed them correctly, no thanks to your video. I read the manual it came with.
