Question:
Hi, im very new at this so not even sure where to being. Have a 2017 Lexus NX200t and am planning on purchasing aftermarket crossbar. Im planning on purchasing a pair of skis and 3 snowboards. Friends are steering me towards a cargo box but I dont really have a place to store a cargo box, is there a roof rack that will securely hold a pair of skis and 3 snowboards? What are my options? Thanks!

So long as you have flush side rails on your 2017 Lexus NX 200t then I do have options for you to carry both your three snowboards and a pair of skis.
For the roof rack, I recommend using the Yakima JetStream Crossbar System which is composed of part # Y00426, part # Y64AR, and part # Y59AR. The JetStream system has aero crossbars for reduced wind noise and integrated channels for use with channel mounted accessories.
For a roof rack mounted ski carrier, I recommend the Yakima FatCat EVO part # Y03096 because it has a very sleek look that matches that of the roof rack. It has the same padding to protect the skis/snowboards as the above carrier but it only opens from one side. For a cargo box, I recommend the Yakima SkyBox 21 Rooftop Cargo Box part # Y07337 so long as your skis and snowboards do not exceed 84-1/2" long. This option will also have a sleek look that matches that of the roof rack and it will allow for other items to be carried as well. In order to add locks to the roof rack and ski/snowboard carrier or cargo box you will need part # Y07206.

I was wondering if this rack could be used vertically on a back door of a Ram promaster van high roof, instead of on the roof.
