Yakima RoundBar Roof Rack Components Needed For A 2022 Kia Telluride

Question:

Just acquired a 2022 Kia Telluride with flush rails. Would like to know what all I need to use Yakima 58” Round Bars to work with ski racks and components from my previous Yakima Highlander set up. Could use my old bars but I’m going to include them in the sale of my Highlander. Seems like there is more than just the Skyline Towers needed to make everything fit. Also, do the Skyline towers grab and hold the flush rails as well as the towers for raised rails?

Hey John,

To mount Yakima RoundBars to your Telluride's flush rails you'll need the following components:

SightClip Fit Kit # Y34UR
SightLine Towers # Y64AR
RoundBar SL Adapter # Y03536

Yakima recommends their 48" RoundBar # Y00408 or 50" aero bar for the 2022 Kia Telluride so you'd have quite a bit of overhang if you go with 58" RoundBars # Y00409.

Flush rail towers are typically being screwed into fixed mounting points or clamping down into a slot so they actually are a bit more secure than a raised rail towers that just grip around the rail to secure the roof rack.

Hey John, how did the setup with the SightLine towers and RoundBar adapters work out on your Telluride’s flush rails? Your update could make it easier for the next person trying to reuse their Yakima gear on a similar roof.
