Question:

I plan to use the rails for a cargo box. I've been looking at the Thule Motion XT XL. I may also get a basket but that is yet to be seen. BTW, love the videos. It is how I found your site. I actually saw one for the install of the trailer hitch on the Jeep Grand Cherokee L first then found the video on the roof rack.

Thanks for the extra information. The Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft # TH629806 is an excellent choice for a roof box. I like how the Motion XT line does a great job at having a great price point for a roof box while still retaining great features like dual opening, an automatic locking lid when you close it, and PowerClick clamps that help make installing and removing the box much easier than a typical U-Bolt kit. When it comes to a cargo basket you'll have to get a really thin one if you're wanting to use both at the same time (much smaller than what we have). For a full-sized basket to use when you don't have the cargo box loaded up I recommend checking out the Inno Roof Deck which comes in 2 sizes; 39-1/2" x 43-1/4" # INA510 and 55" x 55" # INA520. I really like the Roof Deck because it's easy to install, looks great, and gives you multiple tie-down points especially when you install something like the Rail Kit # IN57FR or Eye Bolt Kit # IN37FR into the T-Channels.
