When you’re driving at highway speeds, the last thing you want is a constant hum from your roof rack. The aluminum JetStream crossbars have an aerodynamic profile that helps reduce wind noise and drag. Rubber strips in the top channels close around the hardware to keep airflow smooth and vibration low, so your drive stays quiet and relaxed.
Some racks make you trim rubber strips before mounting accessories — not this one. The push-down rubber strips in the JetStream’s top channels let you press your hardware directly into place without cutting anything. Once installed, the strips flex back into position to help seal out wind and weather for a cleaner look and easier setup.
These aero-style crossbars work with both channel-mounted and clamp-on accessories, giving you flexibility for different kinds of trips. They’re compatible with most universal cargo boxes, kayak carriers, bike racks, and ski attachments, so you can bring along what matters without needing separate systems for each activity.
The rack’s aluminum construction gives it a solid feel without adding unnecessary weight. Each bar measures 50" long x 2-3/4" wide x 1-1/8" tall and supports up to 165 lbs (always observe your vehicle’s maximum roof load capacity). It’s built to handle gear for camping weekends or long drives while maintaining stability on the road.
The system includes two crossbars and four BaseLine towers with a custom fit kit for your roof. For extra protection, Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores are available separately to help deter theft of the rack when you park overnight or stop for food on the way to your next adventure.
