Hello, I was wondering if one of your experts might have any insight or recommendations about using a double hitch RM-077-2 to carry both a cargo carrier 52018F and a bike rack Y02425. Thanks for any assistance.

Dual hitch receivers, like the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, # RM-077-2, are designed for flat towing a vehicle behind an RV and having the ability to carry a bike rack or cargo carrier in the top receiver. A cargo carrier and bike rack cannot be used together.

For your situation I recommend using a roof mounted bike rack like the Swagman Rooftop Bike Rack, # S64720, which is one of our most popular roof mounted bike racks. If you do not have a roof rack on your 2010 Ford Escape, then you can get the Yakima BaseLine Towers Roof Rack which includes two 58 inch round bars, # Y00409, BaseLine Towers, # Y28TR, RoundBar Adapters, # Y03536, and BaseClips, # Y06119 and # Y06148.
