Solution for Using Yakima RoundBar Crossbars With Q-Towers on 2024 Silverado

I have Yakima roof rack on my 2015 Chevy Silverado. It is using the Q towers. Is this compatible with a 2024 Silverado? If so, do I need different clips? I have round crossbars.

Hi John; Yakima moved away from using the Q-Towers back in 2016. This means there are no Q-Clips that will fit your 2024 Silverado. Assuming you have a 1500/2500/3500 with the Crew Cab or Double Cab you will need the BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars # Y28TR.
You will also need the BaseClip Fit kit. For the 1500 that will be two of the # Y06110 and for the 2500/3500 the # Y27FR and # Y06124. The last thing you will need is the RoundBar SL Adapter for Yakima BaseLine, SkyLine, TimberLine, and RidgeLine Towers # Y03536.

Hey John, how did things go switching from the old Q Towers to the BaseLine Towers on your Silverado? Did the new clips and round bar adapters fit the way you needed? Your update could make it easier for the next person upgrading their Yakima setup.
