Question:
Just bought a 2016 CRV LX with flush roof and fixed mounting points. What would be involved in installing landing pads on 2016 roof? Which landing pad and how do I know where its ok to drill etc.? And in general is it a bad idea to drill holes in my new CRV :-/ thx

Expert Reply:
You definitely do not have to worry about drilling holes into your 2016 Honda CR-V LX. The landing pads that Yakima provides simply install into your fixed mounting points already on your roof.
If your roof has the flush mounted rails that run front to back then I recommend going with the JetStream Roof Rack option by Yakima as it will produce less wind noise and drag than a standard roof rack option. For this setup you will need the JetStream Crossbars part # Y00426, the SkyLine Towers # Y53TR, and the Landing Pad 19 # Y00245.
You can deter theft of this roof rack to your CR-V by installing the Same Key System Locks # Y07204 which are sold separately.
I have attached an installation video that you can use as a reference.
