Question:

I want a robust rack for a 2015 CR-V which does not have any crossbars installed. I will be carrying two sea kayaks about 55-65lbs each. I prefer Yakima since I already have Yakima fittings hully wheels, jayhook etc.. Also, I dont like the look of the window attached systems - I had one on a previous vehicle. Where do I go to get crossbars installed?

For a naked roof on your 2015 Honda CR-V, the only available fits involve the custom clips that attach above the windows as you mentioned. All of these systems from Yakima have a load capacity of 125 lbs max. I recommend the roof rack consisting of:

I've attached a video of this install for you, and I recommend doing it yourself. If you want to have it done by someone else, you can take it to any local mechanic you trust. It will come with instructions, but you can use the video to make it easier.
