For extra peace of mind, the system is compatible with Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores (sold separately). Add them to deter theft of your rack when your car is parked overnight or at the trailhead.

Did not get to mount anything to it but seems really sturdy. One thing I can say is mark out your mounting points with provided stickers then put up and make adjustments to the roof rack.
Works just like the old towers except they pivot to give a snugger fit on the truck, which makes this tower fit easier and less likely to come loose or break like the other towers. Also it is nice to have a rack on the front of the cab for long items, like full size canoe, that would be too long and need the extra length to fit. Without the extra tower the canoe has to shift back and hang off the back too much and securing the front of the canoe is more challanging.
So far so good. Purchased these clips to use on a 2022 GMC Canyon. Yakima's fitting instructions worked perfectly and the whole system seems really solid. The clips contour nicely with the shape of the door jamb.
Works perfectly on my 2023 Chevy Silverado. The rubber pads are soft enough to prevent scratches, yet firm enough to support the force of being cranked down on the roof. They fit perfectly in the ridge near the edges of the rough.
Yakima is always great, the bars are just right for my kayaks and look great too.

Yakima towers and crossbars were solid and easy to install with the very well written instructions. We used them on 2 cross country trips with any loosening. They were easy to remove. We plan to use them again as the need arises.

Great UX for finding the options matching my car, and the baseline towers work great. Simple straightforward site, will plan to use them again when needed.
For those also buying crossbars for cars without roof rails, recommend taking a silver sharpie and marking the placement of the crossbars on the weather seal at the top of the door openings. Makes putting them back on way less of a hassle if you don’t want them on 24/7.
