Question:
Just purchased a 2023 Toyota Highlander hybrid platinum and own a 897 hullavator and a 898 hullavator. The vehicle has factory crossbars. What size bar would I need to change to for the systems to work on this vehicle?

Expert Reply:
The longest crossbar that'll work with the flush roof rails on your new 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Platinum is 50" and is the Yakima roof rack system which uses the following parts:
Crossbars # Y00429
Towers # Y53TR
Landing Pad # Y66VR
This will be long enough to use both but as each one weighs over 40lbs, plus the roof rack weighs about 15lbs you'd be overloading your roof with two kayaks and two hullavators as your roof only has a 165lb capacity per Toyota.
