Like the name suggests, this utilizes Ram's factory puck system, and the main star (metal clanging) of the show here is of course the gooseneck ball itself. It's gonna be a 2 5/16 ball with a 30,000 pound weight capacity. Now it releases with this tab up top, flipping it up, rotating it a quarter turn to the side, and it will just lift up outta that puck system, and you can see the ball bearing system inside.

Today we have a 2022 Ram 2500 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you some of the cool features about the B and W ball and safety chain loop for Ram factory puck systems. This kit is going to include your gooseneck ball which is a 2 5/16 gooseneck ball rated at 30,000 pounds, two safety chain loops that are going to install in the rear two pucks. They do not fit in the front pucks. The design of the rear puck is a little bit different and it's not nearly as narrow as the front, so they'll install in your rears. What I like about 'em is that all three of 'em are going to lock into place.

Today, we're gonna be utilizing the OEM puck system on our 2022 Ram 2500. And this right here is the Curt Gooseneck and safety chain kit for that OEM puck system. Utilizing the OEM puck system on your Ram is gonna make this just super quick and easy, so all we have to do is just lift up this little tab here, and we can have our bed back in a matter of seconds. So this is really, really quick, really easy, and this one does have a pretty big capacity compared to the other Curt that you may be looking at. This one has a capacity of 3,800 pounds, and then the other difference between the two Curts is this one is gonna give us about an inch and five eighths of rise. The rise is gonna be very useful if you're already maxing out the coupler on your trailer and you still need to get it a little bit more level, but also, just to make sure that it's gonna clear our tailgate.

Now, the ball itself is 2 5/16 of an inch, which is pretty standard for your goose neck balls. It offers a weight capacity of 30,000 pounds. Of course, you don't want to exceed the carrying capacity of your truck, so check the owner's manual and just go off whatever its tow rating is. Your safety chain connection points will come out just as easy. Lift the keeper, rotate and remove.

Today on our 2016 Ram 2500 we'll be installing the curt under bed goose neck trailer hitch receiver, part number C60614. Here's what everything looks like once it's installed. When we're not towing our trailer and we want to have nice clean access to our truck bed, we put the plug in just like that and it'll keep any dirt and debris from getting inside the receiver making it difficult to insert the ball. As you can see everything sits very nice and flush with the bottom of our bed in these channels here. This won't take up hardly any of our bed space and we'll still be able to lay materials down flat inside our bed without taking up any of the space. Now when we're ready to hook up to our trailer, just remove our plug, take our ball, drop it down, twist the handle, push down in there and our ball's secure. Then we'll be ready to hook up to our goose neck.

B and W Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Ram 2500

Today on our 2016 Ram 2500, we'll be installing the B and W turnover ball, under bed, gooseneck trailer hitch with custom installation kit. Part number BWGNRK1384. This 2-5/16" gooseneck ball coupled with the B and W kit is capable of towing of 30,000 pounds with a 7,500 pound vertical load limit. Obviously, you'll want to consult with your owner's manual of your truck, and find out what it is capable of towing before you attempt to tow a load that heavy. The ball is constructed of a durable steel construction, which will give you many years of service. When we want to remove our ball, or if our truck of is capable of having the ball stored upside down, all we need to do is pull the handle out towards us, and towards the front of the truck. As you can see, it latches in this position for us to remove the ball. When we're ready to put the ball back in, just push towards the rear of the truck and it spring loads itself into the lock position. Here's what our hitch comes with.
