Use your standard, above-bed fifth-wheel trailer hitch with your Chevy or GMC factory, underbed 5th-wheel towing prep package. Adapter mounts in factory sockets and supplies mounting rails in your truck bed for attaching your hitch.

This adapter is perfect if you want to use your standard fifth-wheel trailer hitch with your Chevy or GMC truck's factory-installed, underbed fifth-wheel mounting kit. Just mount the adapter in your underbed rails using the integrated pucks and lock it place. Now you have the standard, above-bed base rails needed to install your fifth-wheel hitch.

I needed an adapter for my 2017 GMC 3500, found the Demco DM6206, very well made and very heavy. Fit like a glove in my truck. Well pleased with the purchase from etrailer.
Product dropped right onto truck and Hensley hitch pinned in nicely. I’m a little disappointed in the “slop” though. The adapter is secured by the goose neck hole and wobbles on the 4PUC holes with @1” slop. Camper is secure but it’s annoying
After I received the adapter and installed my Demco hitch, I did not like the way it fit. There was some pivot between the hitch and the adapter plate, about 1/4 in. even thought the pins went in to secure the hitch to the adapter, I did not feel comfortable. I bought at Curt hitch and did away with the Demco hitch and Demco adapter.

Awesome product. When I bought my new Silverado thinking that I would have to buy a new 21K hitch to tow my 5th Wheel but this took care of that issue and saved me a lot of money. Built solid, easy install.
The product was delivered very quick has usual with e trailer but I had to make some modifications to my Spyder gooseneck hitch so it would fit down all the way so I could get pins in the adapter and Kaylyn was awesome to work with easy to talk too so it was a good experience overall
Great fast shipping. Product fit perfect in my 2018 GMC 3500 with OEM underbed hitch system. My Reese 20K 5th wheel hitch also fit perfectly into the rails. If you are looking to put older style rails in your newer truck and use your older 5th wheel hitch this is what you want. Very well made product and also heavy duty. Weighs about 100lbs plus hitch weight. I would definitely recommend product and etrailer to anyone. Very helpful getting you safe and back on the road to more camping and towing.
Made moving 5th wheel hitch to new truck very easy, quick to remove and there are no rails that stay in the bed of your truck
Just received the hitch adapter today. It is heavy and so far seems like it will work. Have a concern about the one point locking but I have seen no reviews stating anyone had problems. Would like to see four corner locking with the same adapter. I tow a trailer around 13000 lbs loaded so we are wanting to try it out. Will report on it after I get a chance to use it. E trailer is a good company to deal with.
works fine. Has a little wobble from corner to corner and rattles a little. Once hocked up to 5th wheel the weight takes away any rattle and wobble.
Just installed my adapter (quick and easy)! etrailer service was out standing (1st time doing business) intend to do a lot business with these folks.

Demco has since made a design change that allows the feet that fit into the truck bed pucks to be tightened up. If you have the older model that did not allow for this adjustability which is what it sounds like, Demco offers a shim kit which Ill have them send out to you.
