This replacement base fits your B&W Companion fifth-wheel trailer hitch for the Chevy/GMC factory 5th-wheel towing prep package. Unit sits in the sockets in your truck bed for easy installation and removal.B&W hitches are excellent products. Unfortunately what I received from etrailer was damaged. The box had been used several times & retaped. The base was scratched & several bolts & brackets apparently were lost through a hole in the box when shipped. I have a current need, so don't have time to return it so will have to live with the scratches. Fortunately there was no structural damage. See attached photos.
Just bought a truck that had the OEM Puck system in it. Previous truck had the B & W flip ball hook up. This unit installs easily and takes up less room in the bed of the truck. Since unit is not torqued down like the flip ball companion there is some noise when taking off or stopping. Also does not have the adjustability that the flip ball companion had. Overall works with OEM Puck but preferred the flip ball companion hitch.

Easy to install and remove from the truck to use the bed when I’m not towing the camper. By removing the head and base separately makes each lighter and easy to hold onto with comfortable grab holding positions.

B&W hitches are the best if you want a solid hitch that's easy to install. I purchased a new truck. Chevy decided to change puck location. I needed to purchase just the base not the complete hitch. E-Trailer to the rescue. Ordered the new base it was shipped quick and well packed.
Great service. Ordered on Monday, received on Friday! Box showed a little damage but the hitch base was perfect. Took about 45 minutes to assemble and install.
I was sold the base as I explained to the customer man Josh that I had a Ford factory pick system and I sold my Ford and bought a Chevy puck system and not once was I told the level spring kit didn’t come with legs just 700 plus later to be told that comes with head - even after I was told the head will interchange with new puck rail for Chevy ! Get ya info straight if you are selling product
Like all B&W products, this is top quality. I upgraded my truck and the newer model had a different puck system. Purchasing this base allowed me to save around $[XX] over buying a whole new hitch assembly. With the previous truck and B&W Companion hitch, I logged 15-20K pulling my 5er with no issues whatsoever. I'm a big fan.
Relatively easy setup. Quick install. Great hooking up the 5th wheel and towing with this hitch.
I changed trucks from 2019 to 2020 and of course the older hitch would not work in the new truck because puck system was relocated. I ordered a new B&W base from etrailer, it arrived as expected, fit was great, everything works. We appreciate the quick service and support.

After using the B&W hitch for a year now, we’re especially satisfied with the quality and workmanship of this device. Knowing the service of this hitch I expect it will out last the truck. Happy Camper’s are we and no worries while towing. Thank you for a great product. P.S. I also bought a new B&W trailer hitch for towing the boat.
Awesome product from B&W once again. Very simple set up & install. Only problem I had was the box was pretty trashed from the shipper. Luckily all the hardware was still inside.
Received the hitch replacement base this morning. Just got it installed. Absolutely perfect fit and function. The old saddle fit perfectly on the new base. I recently traded our 2015 Denali HD 2500 for a 2020 Denali HD 3500. A very special shout out to Korren in customer service for helping me get exactly what I needed. One year later - Still the BEST!
Easy install all parts are present and no issues at all!
Product arrived as scheduled and fit pe rfectly.
The product arrived as promised. My only issue was with the way it was packaged. It came in a BW labeled box, so my assumption is that etrailer did not package it. The box was not suitable for shipping that heavy of an item. The item was not damaged of course because it is made of heavy gauge metal. Aside from the condition of the box when the package arrived, everything was great and it performs as advertised.
Good Price and customer service was good. However, be cautious with the estimated shipping dates. Call and confirm before purchasing. Also due to the weight of the item, the box was in shambles. But the product was not damaged.
Everything went well. Shipped very quickly,fit right in!! I bought many items on here always accurate and delivered on time!
Hitch fit perfect, had to adjust pucks, head fit great, and looks good I haven't pulled with it yet. Product was delivered quick and as described
