Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Patriot Hitches 5-way 3-ball Mount with Stacked Receivers. Now, this dropped hitch with stacked receivers has been designed by a US military veteran to slide into your 2 1/2-inch trailer hitch receiver and give you ultimate adjustability and flexibility. You're going to receive multiple two-inch receivers, and to be exact, you're gonna get one, two, three, four, five two-inch receivers, and this is going to allow you to mount your ball mount, which you have a 3-ball mount included with this kit, a tow bar, a bike rack, a cargo carrier, and a whole lot more all at various heights. Now, this does have a gross towing weight of 25,000 pounds and a maximum tongue weight of 2,000 pounds, and this is going to give you a maximum drop or rise of about 10 inches. So, these stacked receivers are going to give you a rise or a drop to match the height of your particular application, and if you use this with the included ball mount here and pintle lock here, or you can use your own accessories with this, and this is gonna even let you use your tow bar for flat towing, as I mentioned before, and you're just simply going to move your accessory up or down and secure it at the chosen height with the included pins and clips.

Now, this part of the unit here is called a cartridge, and this is going to be adjustable as well, so all you need to do to adjust the cartridge if you need to get that adjustment that you're looking for, is to remove the pin and clip and then mount that cartridge on this shank at whichever receiver is going to work best for you. So, obviously I have this at the maximum drop position, but if you need to raise this cartridge up, you can just slide the shank into this hole and then this hole. Whatever is going to be best for you to get that specific height adjustment that you are looking for, and then of course, you will secure the shank again with the pin and clip. Now, another added feature is if you're not gonna be doing any towing for a while, you could remove the accessories here, take the cartridge, flip it horizontal, slide it back onto the shank here in one of these receivers if you wanna keep it centered just in the middle receiver there, and that's going to give you a hitch step, then you'll just secure it with the pin and clip, so that's another great feature that this offers if you don't need to use it for towing. Now, this ball mount is going to obviously let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle, and you're gonna get your 1 7/8-inch, your two-inch, and your 2 5/16-inch balls, and then I mentioned the pintle lock.

This pintle lock is going to allow you to hook up to a lunette ring coupler, and as you can see, I do have the pintle lock in the fully extended position, so your ring is just gonna go over the ball here and then that pintle lock's gonna hold that ring in place. But then if you wanna remove the ring, or if you want to use the ball with the standard coupler, you'll just remove the pin and clip here and you can slide that pintle lock back in and then secure it there in the retracted position, or you could just remove it all together. Now, this also includes a 3/4-of-an-inch D-ring that's going to allow for multiple off-roading and recovery uses. And you're not gonna have to worry about rattling or vibration because of these three stainless steel bolts. And what you'll do is you'll just tighten them down with the included hex wrench here, and so as you tighten that down, whether it's on your accessory or on your shank there, that's going to get rid of that vibration and rattling, so that's all included with this as well.

This is sturdy, this is solid steel construction. It's covered in a really nice textured powder coat finish that I think is gonna do a great job of resisting rust and corrosion. Think it's gonna hold up well. Obviously our D-ring and our four pins and clips are covered in a really, a popping blue color. Blue is my favorite color, as you can see by my shirt here.

But I do wanna let you know that this paint does have a tendency to flake when you're especially using them for the first few times to get that clip inside of the pin, so just be aware of that, that that can flake off a little bit there. But if you're looking for something that's gonna be this color of blue, this will be a great option. We also have this, if memory serves, with red pins and clips and a D-ring, and then even a black matching color that matches the textured finish of this unit itself, so we do have some several options here from Patriot Hitches. Those pins and clips, the pins in particular are 5/8 of an inch, and so this is gonna be a very rugged construction. I think it's gonna hold up really well for you overall, and it's gonna offer you quite a bit of functionality. Again, this is gonna slide into your 2 1/2-inch trailer hitch receiver.
