I have a 2017 2500 diesel sierra. I ordered it with the fifth wheel holes ready. Can I use an anderson hitch?

The Andersen Ultimate Connection # AM3200 can be utilized with the factory prep package on your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 with an adapter. If you have the short bed you will need the Demco Adapter # DM6194, but if you have the long bed you will want the Adapter # DM6206 instead.
Please keep in mind that we do recommend going with a sliding 5th wheel hitch for beds shorter than 8 feet to avoid trailer-to-cab contact when taking tight turns. The Anderson does provide 9 inches of offset but that may not be enough depending on what your trailer situation is.
If you have a tapered nose than you should be okay, otherwise you can use the formula (A + B) - C = Clearance to determine if you'll be safe or not.
A = Distance from the fifth wheel jaw center to the truck cab
B = Offset used (slider clearance or Sidewinder offset)
C = Width of the nose of the trailer divided by 2
