  • Solution for Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer with Curt Double-Lock Hitch on 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500
While we do have other options for you, the only way to use the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500 or # BWRVK3400 is by having the entire B&W Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1016 installed on your 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 as there isn't a way to safely fit different parts of gooseneck hitches together. With that being said, I'm a little curious about the gooseneck hitch you currently have installed. Reason being that the Chevy factory gooseneck hitch would have needed all of the pucks installed as well...

  • Will The Curt 5TH Wheel Hitch Rails Fit With Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Hitch on 2018 Chevy 3500?
The Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16411-204 will not fit your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 as you already have the Rails # C60604 for a gooseneck hitch installed where the rail brackets mount. If you have the Double Lock # C607-604 you can use the Adapter # C16210 for using a 5th wheel hitch.

  • Adapter Options to Convert Curt Gooseneck Hitch to Fifth Wheel Rail Kit
Curt has fifth wheel rail adapters for their gooseneck hitches like the part # C16210 for if the hitch is a double lock gooseneck or the part # C16220 for if it's an EZr style. The easy way to tell if your hitch is an EZr or a double lock is to look at the sides of the hitch ball. If there is a slot that runs between the ball holes it's EZr (see first picture. If there is only two holes it's a double latch (second picture). Then you can install a fifth wheel hitch like the A16 slider part...

  • Is There an Adapter To Fit Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Installed in Flatbed Truck
The issue you most likely are going to have is that the portion of the flat bed that sticks out past the rear axle is going to be too long to fit under the overhang of a fifth wheel hitch since they were designed to fit standard truck beds. How long is your flat bed though since you have something different from the picture? If the hitch you have is in fact a B and W Turnoverball then we do have the Companion for Flat Bed trucks part # BWRVK3050 which is designed for the recessed ball...

  • How to Tell the Difference Between the Curt Double Lock & EZr Gooseneck Hitch
If you could send me a picture of the gooseneck hitch you have installed in your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 then I would be able to make a more educated guess but based on your description you have the Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Hitch part # C607-604 and the correct adapter would indeed be part # C16210. However, if the gooseneck hitch was installed at the dealer then you would have had the Curt EZr Gooseneck Hitch part # C611-624 and the correct adapter would be part # C16220. I have attached...

  • How To Identify Which Curt Gooseneck Hitch I have To Get The Correct Curt X5 5th Wheel Adapter
The easiest way to determine which Curt Gooseneck Hitch you have in your truck is to look at the safety chain loops compared to the gooseneck ball hole. If the safety loops are offset from the ball hole, and pretty small in comparision you have the Double Lock and will need the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Trailer Hitches - 20,000 lbs # C16210. If the safety loops are in-line with the gooseneck hole and are the same size as the gooseneck hole then...

  • Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Hitch Adapter for Trailer with Leland 7921 Pin Box
For a Leland pin box the best fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter is going to be the Convert a Ball part # CAB-C5G that you referenced. Only issue is that since you have a short bed truck you aren't going to have great turning clearance. Ideally you'd have a hitch that a rail adapter could fit like the X5 part # 16310 for B and W hitches or the # C16210 for Curt double lock hitches so that you could use a slider hitch like the Curt A20 Slider part # C16541.

  • Parts Needed For A 25k - 30k 5th Wheel Hitch Setup In A 2011 Ram 3500
Hey Daniel, You could swap out the pin box for a fifth wheel-to-gooseneck style pin box and then just use the gooseneck hitch ball you should've gotten with the Turnoverball hitch. For this I recommend a Gen-Y pin box, but we'll need to know your fully loaded pin weight and the bolt pattern for your current pin box to pick out the correct fit. To determine the bolt pattern you'll want to look for the white sticker on it that lists the LCI item #, serial #, and RPO # so we can look up...

  • Adapter Recommendation for 2016 Chevy Silverado with B and W Gooseneck Hitch for Reese 5th Wheel

  • Slider Recommendation for Curt 20k Fifth Wheel Hitch for Turning Clearance
Sounds like you are trying to switch up your fifth wheel hitch setup so that you have more turning clearance. Whether you use a fifth wheel rail kit or a gooseneck adapter the center of the hitch's jaws are going to be right above the center of the truck's axle. You can use a slider hitch with the # C16210 so if you have this adapter already and a non-slider hitch you'd probably be good just using a slider hitch as well. Since you have a 20k Curt hitch the slider you'd need to use with...

To mount your B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3270 in the bed of your 2017 Ram 2500 with an OEM puck system you'll need the Curt Adapter Rails # C29BR. This will lock into the pucks and provide base rails for your hitch to mount to. I've attached a customer review picture below where they also used this with a Patriot slider.

  • Are Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for Curt Double Lock and EZr Cross-Compatible
The Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for Curt Double Lock part # C16210 and Curt X5 5th-Wheel Base Rail Adapter Plate for EZr part # C16220 are very similar, but not the same. The shaft is a bit longer on the EZr model so it won't work correctly if used on the Double Lock.

  • Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for a Curt Underbed Gooseneck Hitch
B&W does not but I have something that is comparable. B&W's Turnoverball systems and their Companion hitches work exclusively with each other and are not compatible with other gooseneck hitches like your Curt item # C611-624 or item # C607-604. They have a square receiver over a circular one. To connect a 5th wheel hitch to the Curt gooseneck ball in your 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500, I recommend the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter item # DM8550045. This 5th wheel...

  • Difference Between Item # C16220 and Item # C16210 And Are They Interchangeable With Each Other
The only difference between Item # C16220 for EZr hitches and Item # C16210 for Curt double lock hitches is the shaft on Item # C16220 is going to be 3/8" longer than the shaft on Item # C16210. I would not recommend trying to use Item # C16220 on a hitch designed for Item # C16210. With the shaft being a little longer, the rails may not sit flat on the bed. If you tried using Item # C16210 on an EZr hitch the pin holes would not line up because of the shorter shaft.

  • Can B&W Companion 5th-Wheel Hitch be Used with Curt Gooseneck Ball on 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
I do have a solution for you, however the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches like the Sliding # BWRVK3400-5W are not compatible with the Curt Gooseneck Hitch installed on your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. As you noted, the B&W uses a square shank while Curt gooseneck balls use a round shank and there is no current shaft or adapter available to allow the use of the two systems together. • Compatibility of Curt Gooseneck Hitch with B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch
To install a fifth wheel hitch that would be compatible with your existing Curt gooseneck hitch, I'd recommend using Curt X-5 adapter, part # C16210. This adapter will lock into a Curt Double-Lock, Flip and Store gooseneck hitches (C-60 and C-600 series). The adapter provides bed rails for a fifth wheel hitch that uses industry standard bed rails like Reese, Curt, Draw-Tite, Valley or Husky. The Curt Q20, part # C16130 would be a good choice. Easiest way to tell which gooseneck hitch you have is by looking at the safety cable loops. If they are about as wide as the gooseneck ball hole and are centered with the ball hole it's an EZr, if the safety chain loops are a smaller and offset then it's a double lock. Take a look at the pictures of the EZR part # C611-624 and the # C607-604 and compare your safety chain setup to both of these. Let me know which yours matches and we can go from there. As the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter # C16210 is designed for use with the Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, it does use a different style of mechanism in the shank to secure it in the bed. This adapter rail is universally compatible with other 5th wheel hitches and uses the 4 pucks your OEM towing prep package came with to give you a more stable connection. The Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter # C16210 cannot be used with any automatic sliding fifth wheel hitches since those hitches attach to the pin box and rotate as the trailer turns. You'd need to use a manual slider like the Reese 20k Slider part # RP30083. This has a round tube slider on it which will slide easier than a square tube and has a jaw design that holds the king pin tightly which allows for a very smooth and quiet ride quality.
