Firestone Ride-Rite Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Speaker 1: Today on our Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going are going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Firestone Ride Rite Red Label extreme duty air helper springs for the rear axle. Part number F2702. Here's what our air bags are going to look like once we have them installed. These are going to give us the load leveling support we need whenever we're towing a heavy trailer or hauling a heavy load. They're going to maximize the load carrying capacity of our truck, increase stability, and improve ride quality, all so we can get down the road safely and be comfortable at the same time. It's going to mount in between the frame of our truck and the axle, and have air to expand and increase the distance, so that we have that support.

Timbren Rear Suspension System Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Speaker 1: Today on this 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, part number TGMRCK25D. What these are going to allow you to do is carry a heavy load in the bed of your truck, or tow a trailer with a high tongue weight without having to worry about the backend of your truck sagging down quite as much. These will help maintain your ride height and give you a smooth ride. As this bump stop starts to collapse in this ridge area here, it becomes stiffer giving you more support. And now we'll compare it with the Timbren to the factory bump stop. As you can immediately tell, it's much larger. This will give us more of a cushion to absorb the heavy loads that our truck is carrying or towing.

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be taking a look at, I'm going to show you how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs, part number F2596. This is what our firestone air helper springs look like when they're installed. These are going to add support to your existing suspension when carrying a heavy load. Now you're going to have a 5,000 pound max load limit, and that's for the pair of bags. These air helper springs are going to be in double convoluted. They're going to have a steel band that runs right along the center for added support. They're going to have a top cap, and a lower cap.

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs, part number F2430.So here's what our air bags look like when they're fully installed. Now these are going to mount in between our axle and our frame here. And they're going to provide us 4800 pounds of load leveling support. Now our air bags are going to enhance our factory suspension for safety and stability when we're carrying a heavy load by keeping it level and preventing the sagging in the back of our truck, and keeping our headlights level where they're supposed to be. And they're going to help reduce tire wear and premature wear on our factory suspension components. Now since we have individual valves for each one of our air bags, they're going to be able to adjust independently, which is great because we're going to be able to maintain weight distribution with adjusting the air pressure individually for those times when we have an off-center load. Not only are our air bags going to help level out our truck, but they're also going to give us a nice, comfortable ride, absorbing some of the road shock and softening the contact between our frame and our axle preventing bottoming out.Now our air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi.

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs, part number F2596. This is what our airbags look like when they're installed, it's gonna come with all the necessary hardware, there's gonna be no drilling required. It has a nice powder coat finish to protect from any rust or corrosion. It fits nicely in between your axle and your frame and these are gonna have a 5,000 pound max load capacity however I do recommend checking your owners manual to make sure your vehicle can withstand that amount of weight. Here on our test course you will notice on our left side of our screen as we go over the speed bumps with the factory suspension set under weight we get a lot of up and down movement which in turn put a significant amount of strain on the suspension. On the right side of the screen you will see the new airbags installed, you will notice as we go over bumps the airbags will greatly reduce the strain on the factory suspension while providing a much safer ride while leveling out your vehicle when loaded and prolonging the life of your factory suspension. Here on our slalom course with our factory set up you will see a lot of body roll when loaded, with the new airbags installed the ride feels much more solid and stable while greatly reducing body roll. We're gonna take some measurements to show you the ride height before we put some weight in it.

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Speaker 1: Today, in our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, we'll be having a look at, and installing the Firestone Ride Rite Air Helper Springs for the rear axle, part number F2596.Here's what our airbags look like installed. These airbags will assist our vehicle's factory suspension allowing it to do its job properly. These airbags will support up to 5,000 pounds of weight in the bed of our truck, or if we're towing a heavy gooseneck or fifth-wheel trailer with a high pin weight, these will help support the weight of that, as well. These don't give us an additional 5,000 pounds of carrying capacity. These will only maintain our vehicle's ride height and handling characteristics up to 5,000 pounds. These are double convoluted design, giving us a smooth ride. One unique feature about these airbags compared to other airbag systems on the market is the fact that our airbag is crimped inside of this cap here at the top and again on the bottom.

SumoSprings Rebel Custom Rear Helper Springs Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs, part number SSR-203-47-2.So here's what our helper springs look like once they're fully installed. These are not only going to give us a more comfortable ride, but if when we're towing something very heavy, it's going to take some of the stress off of our factory suspension and help support it.Now, the spring itself is made of a micro-cellular polyurethane, and it's going to be resistant to oil, road salt, and UV protection, so it's going to hold up for quite a while. Now, it is a two-piece design. We're going to have an upper section and a lower section, and the spring is going to have unlimited travel since it is two pieces, allowing us to have a little bit more comfort. But, like I said, at the same time, supporting our factory suspension and not wearing it out when we tow a heavy load or have that swat 00:00:58 happen in the back. Our springs are progressive, so when it's unloaded, we're still going to have a comfortable ride because the springs is going to compress rather easily. But the more we put in our truck bed, and the more load we have on it, the stiffer the springs are going to become and the more support they're going to give us.The springs are going to work independently from each other, which is going to help if we have an off-center load.

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and also showing you how to install the Firestone Ride Right Double Convoluted Air Helper Springs for the rear axle, part number is F2596.Now if you're in the market for a set of airbags for your truck, it's probably because you've got a situation and something like this. Either you're carrying a utility trailer that's often loaded and it's causing vehicle sag, maybe you've got a gooseneck, a fifth wheel, in bed camper, any number of things. Just anytime we're loading down our truck, essentially what you're going to have is vehicle sag.The more of a load that we put on our truck, the more the rear ends sag. And when that happens we're taking the truck out of its normal operating range, we're putting excess weight on the back, that's going to make this rear suspension work a lot harder. When your lead springs have extra work to do, they're going to build up heat, friction, and eventually it's just going to fatigue quicker than what it normally would. Now we know the rear end sags, but we really don't tend to think about the front end very much. And there's a lot of things that happen that can be very detrimental to the ride quality of your truck when that rear end sags.

Now we've added in about two hundred gallons of water, just to simulate a heavy load in the truck. Now here in the back, we're looking at about forty and a quarter, so we've come down considerably. As you can imagine, this is putting some excess stress on our rear suspension system, excess stress on the rear tires.
