Suspension Upgrades for 2026 Alliance Avenue 35RKS

Updated 10/21/2026 | Published 10/10/2026

Question:

I have a 2026 Alliance Avenue 35RKS which with a weight capacity of 15,00 lbs. I tow with 2024 Ford F350 with 7.3 gas. I’m interested in possibly upgrading my 5th wheel suspension. I currently have a Curt Rota-Flex 5th wheel pin box and Champion 18,000 hitch. The RV has a MORryde 3000 aftermarket suspension upgrade along with MORryde upgrade suspension wet bolt kit. My question is what if any upgrades do I need to plan for? In what priority? We use our RV one week per month. Thanks

Hey Kent! Your Alliance Avenue already has some great suspension components with the MORryde CRE3000 equalizers, wet bolt kit, and Rota-Flex pin box. I wouldn't replace any of those unless you're experiencing a specific problem.

The next upgrade I recommend is the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember # MR33WR. This reinforces your spring hangers to reduce side-to-side movement and adds strength to the suspension mounting points. This is especially useful for frequent camping, and helps keep your hangers from failing which leads to a really bad day.

If you're looking for improved ride quality, I would add the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers # RM-2460. These will make the biggest difference in how your trailer rides. Your MORryde equalizers already help cushion the suspension, but the Roadmaster shocks will control the bouncing and repeated movement after hitting bumps. Together, they'll give you a much smoother, more controlled ride and towing experience.

Where do you typically travel with the Avenue?

Typically we camp within 300 miles of our home in Charleston, South Carolina however next April we will be heading to California and Colorado for 6 weeks.

@KentS that sounds like a great trip! With that much traveling planned, I would start by adding the X-Factor now to reinforce your suspension, then plan on installing the Roadmaster shocks before your trip in April. That way you'll have the added strength for your regular camping trips and the improved ride quality when you head out west for those longer stretches of highway.

@RobinH Approximately one year ago I purchased sumo springs for my 2024 Ford F350 7.3 gas and my question is that there isn’t a gap between springs and truck suspension (landing pad) . Is this normal? I only have 120 lbs in the bed of my truck. Shouldn’t there be space in between the bottom of sumo springs and landing pads? I can send picture if it helps?

@Kent you have the Rebel? It isn't necessarily a problem if the upper and lower springs are touching with the truck unloaded. The amount of clearance can vary depending on the specific kit and your truck's suspension. If they're already touching, they'll simply start providing support sooner as you add weight. The gap can also become smaller as your suspension settles over time, especially if you're frequently towing your fifth wheel or carrying other loads in the truck.
