Hey Keenan. The factory hitch on your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 is bolted to the frame not welded. To replace it, I recommend the B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch item # BWHDRH25211. This hitch is custom fit and will install in the same mounting holes your factory hitch uses.

The B and W Hitch part #BWHDRH25211 that you referenced will fit your 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 dually. Having a dually axle does not affect whether this hitch would fit or not. So either way it would fit.
