Can I Use Both the TorkLift StableLoad and the SuperSprings Super Sway Stops for Hauling Camper?

For a 2024 F350 DRW, which would be better to install, the helper spring early engagement device SuperSprings SuperSway Stops or the lower spring early engagement device TL89CR? I load a slide-in truck camper 4000 lbs about half the time. The truck feels a little bouncy and sways when loaded. I still have the OEM config, that is no airbags, etc. Also, does the lower spring early engagement solution create additional single-point stress on the springs above the lower spring since the weight is now focused on the point of the device vice being spread across the length of the spring without the device. Is there any issue in installing both the upper spring device and the lower spring device?

Hello Jeff,
Sounds like you’ve got a big camper (about 4,000 lbs) on your 2024 F-350 dually, and when it’s loaded, the truck feels bouncy and sways a bit. That’s pretty common with heavy campers, especially if the suspension is still stock. You're looking at two options to help with that: the SuperSprings SuperSway Stops # SS65GR (which work with the upper spring), and the TorkLift # TL89CR StableLoads (which work with the lower spring).
Here’s the easy breakdown:
- The SuperSway Stops # SS65GR help with side-to-side sway (like body roll). They make the top spring kick in sooner. They’re great for handling and keeping the truck steady, but they don’t really help much with bounce or rear sag.
- The TorkLift StableLoad # TL89CR help the bottom springs engage sooner. These are better for handling the heavy weight of your camper. They reduce how much the back of your truck squats down, and help with bounce too.
If you’re only going to install one of them, go with the # TL89CR. You’ll feel the biggest improvement there when the camper is loaded. If you install those and whole like to tighten things up a bit more, you can install the # SS65GR.
You also asked a smart question "do the # TL89CR put too much pressure on one part of the spring?" Nope! They’re designed to spread out the pressure safely. People have been using them for years with no problems, as long as they’re installed the right way.
And yes, you can install both the TorkLift StableLoad # TL89CR and the SuperSway Stops # SS65GR if you want. They don’t interfere with each other. A lot of people with big campers do that to get the best of both: better support and better sway control.
