Used on a 2021 Ford Ranger XLT - Camping World installed the wiring and removed the guts of the left side 12v plug that wasn't being used. We did have to order this panel and I had it sent to my home instead of going back for Camping World to install. I only had to make a little notch at the top of the open hole where the 12v plug guts were removed so that it would fit- literally used my bare hacksaw blade and made about 3 little bitty notches and knocked out with a screwdriver and it slipped right in and snug.
This mounting piece is awesome, everything snaps into place very well and it feels and looks like it came with the truck from OEM.
2022 Ford Ranger
Saved about 200.00 using this with the Tow-Pro by RedArc over using this OEM trailer controller. Set ups easy (hardest part is removing the 12v battery supply), nothing a screwdriver and snips can't fix. Install took less then 30 minutes using the TPH - 022 harness for the Gladiator. Looks very professional.

Looks like it was an OEM product. Easy install. Working perfectly.
Had to cut off the locator tab and file down a little bit to install with the letters and light hole up in the Gladiator. It did snap on well however doesn't exactly fit flush without some slight modifications and a shim I used that was on the original cigarette lighter. Looks great now and close to factory.
Made Redarc brake controller installation into one of the power ports (fka, cigarette lighters spots) easy and looks like original equipment.
It fit perfect
Just to be sure it wouldn't spin i used a little silicone on the edge.
Shipping said 4 days to get here.
3 days later they finally shipped part.
By then I had allready ordered from another company got it to me in just over 2 days. The part finally arrived today. 4 days to late.

This product fit perfectly and looks great in my 2025 Frontier.
Great alternative to the square plate provided, particularly because of where I’m mounting my switch.

I bought the redarc controller for my 2023 Ranger from Ford but this adapter from etrailer. There is a bunch of video online for installing it and it went in without a hitch. Works great.
This snapped right into the 12v outlet hole in the dash panel of a 2021 Ford Ranger! Much nicer than drilling anything. Puts the knob in a perfect spot for quick engagement and visual of the LED indicator.
Looks and works better than the one that came with the brake controller
Good day after a couple tries the round mounting plate was my best option I was replacing the dash insert with the electronic OEM brake controller plate that I found out would not work because my truck didn't have the RCM program so I bought the radic brake controller I took apart the OEM brake controller to get a piece of the plastic to make a plate then I cut out the OEM Dash plate to accept the piece of plastic and then cut that out to accept the round mounting plate ran all the wires everything works I'm going to attach a couple pictures or a few pictures to show what I did there is no direct replacement mounting plate for the small storage box on the OEM plate that was in there or replacing the OEM electric brake module there was no plate to fill that in so I made one myself probably not the finest work because I am very seeing impaired but you'll see in the pictures this is what it looks like thanks again everybody at the trailer for all your help and Jamie and I will attach the pictures
Used on a 2019 Ford Ranger, and it worked great.
It was rather hard to get the 12v port out but otherwise install eas very easy especially with your great step by step youtube video.
ETrailer delivered over night by noon and I had my install completed in minutes.
The Redarc works great, the only down-side is the button didn't fit my 2021 toyota and I had to buy a different one in order to engineer it it fit. I complained and etrailer paid the shipping. A correctly sized part from Redarc would have been appreciated. Instructions and product worked great.
Needed a trim piece for my '94 Dodge Ram 1500. I knew this wasn't an exact fit but with a little Dremel work and a hot glue gun I think it turned out looking pretty good. I replaced the lower cigarette lighter with the trailer brake controller switch.
Worked correctly but the white dot indicator is located at 9 o'clock instead of at the top

Fits perfectly in 2022 12v outlet. This is something that should come included in Redarc's controller packages though being that it is so inexpensive for them.

Looks stock in a Ford Ranger. Ford should use these if you buy the “factory” brake controller instead of the spot they install it above he hood release.
Product worked great for my 2020 Ranger. It mounted perfectly under the dash and put the controller in the spare 12V socket. Looks good.
Bought this to mount in my 2020 Ranger as shown in the etrailer Redarc install video! Worked as described!
